I don't care what you think but there is an increasing trend of channels being randomly straight up deleted. It's only going to get worse as time goes on, honestly.
Damn, his Elliot Rodger series was the most in-depth analysis of his life and death. Straight up documentary-quality stuff. Now it's all gone.
Although I disagree with Alex Jones's bans, there is at least a case for him to be made. That's what I'd call a very extreme case, especially looking at the lawsuit and how that asshat acts every time he opens his mouth.
There are however, some pretty recent ones that are not so extreme. Sargon of Akkad for example, recently had his patreon snuffed, as well as several other people. I think Carl is a fucking idiot, but it's still quite concerning regardless.

Kyle has a pretty good take on it, it's not a political video so don't really worry about that, but this is becoming a more and more worrying.
As a note, I believe this isn't Patreon itself doing this, but their parent company or something along the lines of that.
I've at least noticed a lot of deplatforming rhetoric flooding discussions, even here. A lot of people are more and more willing to play the association game where tenuous connections mean you're a nazi and therefore anything a large powerful corporate entity does to you is deserved. I've seen people say mumkey is a closet nazi, shit just get outrageous at some point, it's tiring and so idiotic. Fuck this "culture war" bullshit too, it's not even a matter of culture it's just a matter of not being a rabid lunatic who injects sewage from tabloids into their eyeballs...
I guess one contributing problem is even "legitimate" new sites reported on the pewdiepie thing, and people have been trained by popular rhetoric to "support" those big media conglomerates, because now apparantly pointing out a significant number of their stories are made up nonsense churnalism is supposed to be associated with nazisim. It's just idiots all the way down.
