Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) tops the first 2020 straw poll by the progressive political action committee Democracy for America by a wide margin, followed by former Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas).
Leading the field was Sanders, with 36 percent support. He was followed by Biden at 15 percent and O’Rourke at 12 percent. Warren and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), received 8 percent and 7 percent, respectively. No other potential candidate received more than 4 percent.
Essentially, not saying much.
I do enjoy that there are more and more people exploring political figures that aren't hardline / traditional neolib democrats.
With a clear majority of the top five candidates being champions of Medicare for All, these results illustrate that Americans are eager for bold, progressive candidates who will fight for the multiracial inclusive populism America needs in 2020 and beyond.
Worried that less progressive people are still going to be the focus of most American voters though, especially considering all this ridiculous backlash from stubborn folk who fear progressives.
This was is how Bernie can still win!
Foxy Grandpa 2020
Bernie and Ojedah are the two I'm focusing on right now. They both have the same message but I know Ojedah doesn't have the popularity to really pull anything.
"Progressive
"Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas)"
These are not the same thing.
The poll is by a progressive group, it's not just progressive candidates.
