I heard somewhere the Facepunch no longer force wipes servers? Is this true?
If so, I asume that means server stating NO WIPE will then never get wiped?

I hope they do so soon as yes, the wipes are understandable to a sense, but still annoying as I just want to have a base and relax

what happens when everyone reaches the top tier?
which most clans/people have trained to do in a matter of a few hours/days... due to the wipes.........
There is not actually anyplace to go once you hit the top..... bigger base....... 3 shitty scenarios to complete...... one of which you can even complete with a rock & torch....
Raids.. more raids... even more raids....... Balloon trips...... more balloon trips...
it's not like Starcraft or DOTA.. even the protos & Zerg NPC's get to build their own bases that you can raid..

I've set up a dedicated server with a few mods to improve gameplay. [UK/EU] Fair Play x2. It has a 3 month map & bp wipe cycle. This is because I've figured out a way to restore player data on forced update wipes. Only if the update imposes too much of a change, such as some doors in the game no longer being in the game or changes to locks. Where restoring the data would cause too many errors or bugs. Then I would do a forced wipe sooner. I've been running the server hosted on my own spare system for about 7 months now. Built a lot of stuff in admin mode & restored the data without any errors. The only error's I've seen is when they changed how pumpkins/corn is grown. They acted odd until I re planted corn & all worked fine as the new update intended.
So, it's possible to have long wipe servers. It just requires a little more admin interaction after every forced update wipe. But, it really does help prolong the enjoy ability of the game & gives you enough time to actually achieve something.
It's recently been made public. But, I hope to built up a community of players.
The whole point of a wipe is to refresh the server and to make it fun again. Imo I would hate to play a 3 month wipe server as after 2 weeks the server would die and begin to get very boring, and then I would have to wait the whole 3 months until I can have fun again
