https://thehill.com/hilltv/what-americas-thinking/422506-new-poll-public-overwhelmingly-opposes-trump-pardoning-close As he and his associates face increasing legal scrutiny, President Trump has publicly and privately discussed potential pardons for his former and current associates, but a new The Hill-HarrisX poll finds that Americans would overwhelmingly disapprove of such pardons. In a Dec. 15-16 survey of 1,000 registered voters, only 28 percent agreed that it would be "proper" for Trump to pardon former aides convicted by special counsel Robert Mueller. The vast majority, 72 percent, said no. Trump has continued to raise the idea of granting clemency to former associates, including his onetime campaign chairman, Paul Manafort. In a November interview with The New York Post, the president said that he "wouldn't take it off the table," referring to a potential pardon for Manafort. The public appears to be strongly united against Trump commuting sentences of his associates. Seventy-six percent of women in the Hill-HarrisX survey said it would not be proper for Trump to pardon close associates, as did 67 percent of men. Strong majorities of people of every racial demographic group also disagreed with the potential move. Even a majority of Republicans, 56 percent, said that Trump would be acting inappropriately if he were to pardon current and former aides. Large majorities of independents, at 74 percent, and Democrats, at 84 percent, also said it would not be acceptable. A majority of every demographic group except for self-identified "strong conservatives" express disapproval of the idea, but even that group was split 50-50. "Even among Republicans, they're saying that this is something he should not do," GOP pollster Jim Hobart said Friday on "What America's Thinking," adding that he hoped that Trump would pivot more toward policies that are approved of by the majority of voters, such as his recent success with criminal justice reform.
The implications of him pardoning his associates is just fucking ridiculous Getting them to commit crimes for him... and then allow them to not face the consequences of those crimes.
Why this isn't 100% I will never know.
Nixon had 22% approval ratings when he left office.
Even Nixon had his supporters.

Obvious answer is, not everyone is decent person.
I'm not a decent person, either, but I don't approve of any pardons. If anything, Trump should be a codefendant in all this shit.
What part of his has to do with you being, allegedly, not a decent person?
Any pardons? There are people that absolutely shouldn't be in prison. Some are even spending decades for weed.
Post implied those who aren't a decent person support trump pardoning his cronies. I'm not a decent person, yet I wholeheartedly think it'd be the dumbest thing he could possibly do this side of livestreaming an arms deal with the Russians involving F-35s.
it doesn't seem like there's anything most americans can actually do though, every republican president since nixon has pardoned their accomplices before leaving office.
Unpardonable state level crimes.

With all the remaining adults in this administration gone (Kelly, Mattis) the first thing coming down the pipe in 2019 is a Manafort pardon by Trump.
and then the 5th goes out the window and he can be compelled to testify.
he has the wrong flag pinned to his suit
Can't make it too obvious.
I wouldn't say that makes you an indecent person, if you think that doesn't then I'm guessing you just want to come off as someone who isn't decent, but you're not doing it right to be honest, you sound more an angsty teenager than indecent.
A decent person would stop to help all involved parties, not laugh at them and make sure their dashcam caught a good clip of the crash to upload to youtube and/or liveleak before moving on with their day. And thats just an example anyway. I've always found it nigh impossible to care about, sympathize with people I dont personally know, I've always had an apathetic outlook on politics(and likely will return to same when Orange in Chief's dumpster fire is put out), and in general just never have cared for my fellow man. Not my problem, says I. I find a wad of cash on the ground that shit is mine now, yanno? Probably comes off more angsty teenager because I also lack the social graces to properly express my thoughts a lot of the time.
Whether you stop to help or not doesn't make you indecent, most of the time it just means you're getting in the fucking way, it's none of you business, go away. You're not special in being unable to sympathise with people you don't know, it's fairly common and again, doesn't make you indecent. Also fuck politics, if you don't care about them, join the club, there's many a person that can't stand politics. If you find cash on the floor and have no idea who dropped it, depending on the amount you can just pocket the money and not give a shit, but if you know who dropped it and pocket it, that makes you cunt, if it's a fairly substantial amount (relative I know but for the "common folk) then there's a chance it could get reported missing to the police, if you were spotted picking it up and someone informs the police of that, you're fucked since it's theft. If you get away with it though then it doesn't matter because it's only a crime if you get caught, nah mean.
It's the conservative spin machine at full force
