I just returned after a long-ish time off this forum. I think I did post a while ago where this forum already had the new design, however there were still more forums & subforums.
What happend to them? Am I blind or are there only general forums now?
Garry added a zillion subforums, then people complained

I mean I didnt complain about there being too little subforums.
I complained about there not being any, aside of the top level ones (which I would just call "forums" and not "sub forums" but maybe im just dumb)
Usage has decreased fairly significantly in the past few months, admins wanted to encourage use of megathreads.

Oh. You know I want to use this forum more. I guess ill try to contribute to the growth of this place as much as I can. I really dont want this place to die especially since I didnt use it for like a year.

As said, Garry wanted every post to be its own thread instead of using megathreads which of course led to everything being really cluttered and people unable to have a proper discussion on whatever topic. So people complained and in typical Garry fashion he overreacted and removed popular sections such as videos and fast threads.
So if we complain more, they will come back?
i literally only miss videos tbh
I miss having subforums under gmod for addons because now it all gets drowned out by "i get ban on server pls unban" or "why my game crash"
Its just nonsensical to remove them from there.
Tbh I feel like there were very few "useless" subforums. Some stuff should have been merged instead of removed but all in all it was a good layout already. Now, for me, its more or less a guessing game whether or not that post will get me nuked off the site for being off topic. The forums still great though. this is rather minor to me. If they would fix the alerts system I think that the forum would be o k.
