I don't know whether I should be embarrassed about this or not, but there was a period of time (probably half a year or so) where I thought the term "heteronormativity" felt somewhat cringeworthy even though the actual definition for it (basically meaning it's a belief that gender roles are objective and that heterosexuality is the default sexuality) and the implication that it wasn't good turned out to be relatively reasonable.
I think the only reason I ever thought it was cringeworthy was because I saw it mentioned on some reblogged thing on Tumblr, and I've noticed that I've been having trouble differentiating the reasonable/somewhat understandable reblogs from the absolutely pants-on-head retarded reblogs when it comes to stuff on Tumblr, for whatever fucking reason.
