Hmmm, This article is acting way too much like O'Rourke loyalism gone too far?
Not really, it's a well known fact that the far left hates the moderate left more than they hate the right.
Honestly I feel sorry for Bernie, his dans are almost as bad as Ron Paul's, except unlike Paul he's actually a decent guy with good ideas.
Looks an awful lot like Terry A. Davis...
Well, O'Rourke is not entirely center-left, Especially since he live Texas thus he more just normal but less stereotypical Centrist Democrat and lose in Senate race to Ted Cruz not while ago. But I just love media are still trying make him the next Biden or literally white Obama for seemly no reason despite the aforementioned Senate race loss should ended it. Just pissing left-wingers off and making the media is not moving on to next [Centrist or center-right] candidate to popularized.
Honestly I don't like moderates or the right. But I wouldn't say the far left hates the right more, it's just that the moderate left needs a more immediate focus for the sake of changing the party.
Yeah O'Rourke is good for Texas, but he's more conservative than the majority of the Democratic party and I have 0 interest in seeing him in the White House.
Wouldn't it be somewhat better to get someone like this in the office and slowly push for more ideal candidates?
Nope, I'm not interested in electing another corporate hack to warm the seats for the next fascist.
Hate to say but literally every candidate at the moment but Bernie is either corporate or unknown.
Enough is your opinion but my guess all three except Bernie is less to mostly corporate based on their actions publicly on left-wing policies.
And Harris is likely corporate like others, Based on her actions with left-wing spectrum of party.

Just some interesting takes. I'm going to wait until O'Rourke actually declares before digging deep into whether or not I would want to vote for him.
We tried that and it got us Dem presidents ordering drone strikes and stripping worker protections instead of Republicans doing it.
I've never heard this fact before.

If Democrats can't deal with people looking into people's record maybe they shouldn't be in power.
This looks like people trying to stir the pot and get dems to turn against each other. This "war" seems to be entirely fought on headlines and no where else.
Funny how O'Rourke was painted as far left when he's apparently pretty center with only a couple of far-left ideas.
He's extremely far left in Texas' Overton window. Not overall.
‘Bernie-world’
is that some kind of social democratic themepark
People are right to be afraid of Obama 2.0. Sure it’ll be lightyears ahead of Trump but with less than 12 years to sort impending climate doom and the rest of the domestic issues that are reaching breaking point it’s just not good enough.
he's even opposed to medicare like how did it get this way
Unfortunately, that isn't the reason most people seem to be afraid of an Obama 2.0. At least in the bottom half of the US.
The main line of attack against O'Rourke is that he isn't progressive enough — that he's been too close to Republicans in Congress, too close to corporate donors and not willing enough to use his star power to help fellow Democrats — and it is being pushed almost exclusively by Sanders supporters online and in print.
Have literally never heard this before
It started with David Sirota, a liberal activist and journalist who worked for Sanders many years ago. In a long tweetstorm, Sirota noted that O'Rourke had received more donations from the oil and gas industry than any candidate in the 2018 cycle other than Cruz.
So a Sanders supporter tweeted about O'Rourke taking oil money in his campaign, and now suddenly we're back to 2016 where "Bernie Bros" are ruining the country? Who could have guessed corporate media would launch another attack on Sanders lol
The article's only evidence of this Sanders-O'Rourke war is a "tweetstorm" from a Sanders supporter, go fuck yourselves NBC
God I absolutely hate the narratives that these headlines and Twitter generate. Simply saying this shit is designed to fragment and soil the democratic party, trying to turn them against another, whilst - with no proof - attempting to establish a narrative that the democrats have a separate sect for Bernie that is the cause of this infighting. It's not even a thing.
Lol, in my experience that's not how this kind of thing works mate. Even the most extreme far-leftists I've chatted with seem to see moderate leftists as obstacles, not opponents.
They don't hate them, but they definitely feel as though they get in the way of making any "real progress".
I bet whoever is running on the Republican ticket in 2020 is going to be a moderate-right or even centrist to win back disaffected Trump voters, so I'd much rather have a viable reform candidate like Bernie than another centrist Democrat
Then your experience is sorely lacking. Extreme leftists, as in revolutionary anti-capitalists, view the far right as an asset to encourage recruitment, and the moderate left as the main threat to their movement. This is because moderate left wing policies are likely to prevent their fantasy revolution from occuring, but even the most far right policies only fuel the outrage they rely on.
Hell, even in 1933 the KPD was still denouncing the SPD as Social Fascists even when the NSDAP was transforming Germany into a dictatorship.
i dont think you should be making such a definitive judgement. both your experience and fulgrim's experience are quite anecdotal, and i guess they're both true. because there are a bunch of factions of the 'radical' left, and some, kinda outright bad, red-fash-y parts, that do seem friendly with the far right some times, but there are also other large parts that are actually like how fulgrim described
You sound like a cop.
The Obama-era Department of Homeland Security concluded that the rise of the alt-right in 2016 was directly responsible for an increase in far-left violence.
