It is part of a sustained heatwave affecting parts of South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales. In the days after Christmas, the mercury will push 46 degrees Celsius at Coober Pedy in South Australia, Mildura in Victoria and Hay in New South Wales. It will be the first time that Mildura, on the Murray River in Victoria's north-west, has had six consecutive December days above 40C, with the previous record of five days set in 1931. ... climate change is a hoax am i right
In the words of the great Scott Morisson; "We can't focus on clean energy right now, we're trying to deal with the drought"
Well good luck for most populated cites in your country to survive this man-made heatwaves, bud.
If Climate Change is real, then how come I was a bit cold in bed HMMMM?
I live in the extreme zone and I'm probably gonna die, send help 45 degree days aren't unheard of here, it's really a matter of keeping yourself cool whenever you can and just staying out of the sun. There's no denying that the climate's fucked though, it's been a fair bit warmer here than the last few years on average.
I've never been so glad to live on Queensland's coast, get fucked southerners. nah but seriously good luck cunts
Fucken in wagga wagga for xmas until next saturday god damn.
Man, I was just enjoying the December rain, why did summer have to come back.
Ahh hello fellow qld'er, same here, south east myself. Most pleasant December weather we've had in like 10 years now, it's actually cool out and I was in jeans all day without breaking a sweat. Crazy stuff We just went through a heatwave here in QLD, brief, but deadly. I feel for all you guys stuck down there I really do, it's so crippling when the air is hot, the ground is hot, the rain is hot, and your air con shits the bucket. Hopefully it passes by quickly enough.
It's been super lovely for the last week or so, not even breaking 30C here in Canberra, now we're in for an extreme heatwave. It's going to be cooked, literally.
Oh hey, I live right in "Extreme Heatwave" on the Victorian-NSW border, guess I'm in for a shit Summer. At least it's pretty dry down here so at least it's not gonna be humid, just gotta watch out for all the bushfires.
no worry snowball
Guess its time to go buy a petrol generator cos there is no fucking way the power grid here is going to handle this
oh baby it's cold outside
that's just going to make global warming worse.
Like buying one generator's gonna have much effect. It'd be admirable to go without but for 90% of the population it would be too hard.
No not saying you're bad for doing it, its just the runaway effect, we burn too much the climate changes and causes heatwaves forcing people to burn more just to survive causing more heat.
How i currently feel right now: https://i.imgur.com/AFNlJr0.jpg
Dang, you can tell it's hot, you forgot you said currently and added right now.
I think I woke up to a pager message saying it's total fire ban tomorrow in the western regions down here just don't have fires anyway tbf
