https://youtu.be/e0psiPqGeVs Jesus christ. Come on Bethesda.
Bethesda will jump leaps and bounds and start actively killing people in an effort to do anything at all to fix their problems, despite having a button next to them labeled "fix the game" and never ever thinking about pushing it.
"[Whatever the product was] wasn't up to Fallout standards" is funnier than any joke anyone can make in this thread.
Don't forget that Zenimax is most likely responsible for a lot of this shit too. They shouldn't get away without blame.
Fallout standards is quality bethesda standards however
Well yeah. Zenimax owns Bethesda. But Zenimax makes the corporate big-head decisions. Like most publishing companies.
I'm not even surprised, just disappointed. How many of these mistakes will they make before they grasp that it's seriously hurting their reputation? Maybe it profits them now to fuck over the customer - but it might just piss people off forever, hurting sales.
Looks like someone's getting 200 atoms for the new year!!
3 was alright for the time it was released in. New Vegas is certainly better imo, but I still really enjoyed it.
this was the important part of the post. I have no idea why you're ignoring it. Fallout 3, 4, and 76 were made by Bethesda, so I have no idea what your point is. Fallout 1 and 2 were incredibly well made games that set a high standard, BH being a bad game doesn't mess that up too much because every series has its fuckups. You really can't take risks without a few fuckups. Bethesda's fallout on the other hand doesn't have the same standard that F1 and 2 did. It doesn't carry what made fallout good, which isn't a bunch of dumb RPG mechanics they ended up fucking up anyways. Fallout was good because of world building and its grim sense of humor.
Hasn't this been known for weeks? The company that made released a video on it being packaged.
It doesn't have terrible world building, but I would call it far from 'amazing'. It's far from being a Morrowind. But it's no Skyrim or FO3.
Jesus Christ, how is this a controversy other than people wanting to dogpile on Bethesda? It's real fucking alcohol in a collectible plastic shell. They even show that that's exactly what it is in their promotional video. It's not full of AIDS or anything, let it fucking go.
It's false advertising.
It's because it's overpriced for what you get "Collectible" doesn't excuse shitty quality. In fact that should imply high quality.
Which part, the part where the promotions show exactly what you get?
No it isn't.
Pax you mong the entire point is people want a unique Fallout shaped Bottle which you would of figured out if you watched the video. People could care less about the actual alcohol. It's a sham because it's a plastic shell, not a real glass bottle.
That doesn't make it false advertising though, just disappointing.
the rocket shaped bottle from fallout 4 would be difficult to get produced anyways, glassblowing machines work in symmetrical easy to blow shapes, the fins are just way too hard to make same sort of goes for a plastic blow mold but ya. It seems like they advertised these things for 76 before they had a clear idea of how they could manufacture them
"Nuka Dark Rum shares the same look as the other bottles of Nuka-Cola but a black color and a simplistic label. " While in reality it's just a plastic shell, not an actual black Nuka-Cola bottle.
Personally I've never cared about collectible so really, trying to see it from the other perspective. This almost feels like sarcasm
Okay, I've been corrected. It's not exactly false advertising. Instead, they didn't specify the bottle's materials. Nevertheless, if you pay 100 dollars for a bottle of rum, would you expect some shitty plastic casing? I think it's reasonable to assume that a collectible bottle at this price would be made out of glass. https://www.nukadarkrum.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/NukaDark3FX.png
It isn't. There is a lot of lore built up in the worlds, it's everywhere in notes, audio tapes, set decoration.
Well, they leave out information. Mind you, that promotion was made after the pre-order.
I'll be honest, IMO, Todd is a corrupted man. I don't think he ever started all of it with the intention of being a conman, unlike that guy from EA that seems like he materialized from the darkest of sludges. Even his suit seems like it was given to him by a dark entity lol. But along the way, with pushes from higher ups that are there only to make more money the further they go, he gave up on doing things he wanted and that sounded good, and went down to being a guy that sells what doesn't exists because he's told to, and because the people who tell him to will reward him with much needed cash if he's successful, or probably fire him if he isn't. In short, I blame the publishers for all of the shit going on in the gaming industry in terms of microtransactions and bad deliveries of products. They essentialy put everyone on a vicegrip to release things at the time they want, whatever state its in, along with the worst money grubbing ideas possible, and the devs end up singing to the tune of it because what else are they gonna do?
The ride never ends
No, no they are not. Not even kinda.
Yeah in this case it isn't straight up lying, it's just a shit product, which is funny in and of itself.
Fallout 4 has good world building if you're a big fan of wacky skeletons.
