Okay I really need help now, I have over 5k hours on GMod and from the beginning of my experience, I have got lots of lags. I started to game on GMod with a crappy laptop, I could understand why it was lagging with my 4gb of ram and my i3 processor with no graphics card..Whatever, today, I have 24gb of DDR3, a GTX 1060 (6GB OC) and a i7-3770 OCd @ 4.30 GHz. And guess what? I can barely see the difference while playing online with my old crappy laptop and my beast machine...What should I do?

Play a game that isn't built on a 15 year old engine (which itself is built on a 21 year old engine) that can't make full use of the power provided by your hardware. Source wasn't designed to be used the way gmod uses it, it can only run so well.

I can see popular YouTubers such as Fudgy playing on a DarkRP server without any issues and he has better hardware then me.

Network lag won't be helped much by upgrading your cpu, ram, and gpu. Connect to servers with lower ping.

I have like 20 pings on my favorite servers..

What type of lag are you getting tho? Low FPS, moving is derpy, everyone else on the server walks and else like they're teleporting? It really depends as there are different types of them

In FPS ofc, why would you think I changed my specs
