Fuckin 1 million subs in 1 week, and only for 1 video. What kind of fuckin ratio is that? All he did to gain this was upload a 30 second video where he says he'll be uploading gaming stuff A week later, he uploads another short vid of him just saying he'll upload more gaming content (this one) ... Watch it be a big ruse
I wonder how high he can get before uploading any actual content.
Interesting to note, this video already has over a million views. That means there's a good chance the vast majority of his subs watched that video. He's getting some damn good exposure to his audience, and there's people with a shitload of subs who don't get that much of their audience watching their videos, iirc.
He has the face of gabe newell and the beard of richard stallman and I don't know whether to laugh or scream.
Yeah, I think it's actually pretty rare for a channel to get as many views as they have subscribers. Not entirely sure why that happens but it's usually a fairly significant difference.
and the voice of jack black!!
I really want him to do a let's play of Brutal Legend. Imagine how confusing that'd be.
I bet he'd have some fun stories to tell about working with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmister.
I could see him doing that, it's his kind of comedy.
1,5 million subs now, almost 7 million views in just two videos. this has to be breaking records.
Already feels like he's playing the JB character (Tenacious D)... and what's something JB believes about himself? Even if he does nothing, he's the greatest and everyone will know it.
I love how Justin Y has tried infinitely harder to get as many subs as he can by commenting on every single video he can find, then Jack Black gets 1 million subs by filming vertically.
he should play beat saber
I'm convinced this is all a big joke and he's not actually gonna upload any gaming content. But man I wish he would.

To be fair it was also a hilarious video. Like, despite the fact that Jack Black's career mostly consists of fuck-awful movies that nobody remembers, he's such a fun guy that I'm pretty happy to see him doing stuff.
yeah I'm not sure why people are so confused that a low effort vid got lots of views, because it's not the effort, it's the personality and generally just fun idea so far. If you want to judge him by his content wait til he's like 2 or 3 vids in and see if there's any retention, instead of looking at the incoming-content-hype announcement
Don't forget the video also has megalovania in it which basically gets your channel 500K subs automatically.
Probably because unlike Justin Y. he's funny and does actual work instead of just repeating the same jokes he's already said a million times in the hopes for people to validate his existence on the site.
And now Jack’s channel has reached 2 million subs in less then a week. And I find that pretty amazing tbh.
It's not just megalovania, it's remixed with the Fortnite dance theme
Yep, subscriber burn. YouTube intentionally stops delivering content to your feed from a YouTuber you haven't watched in a while or watch selectively (ie. not the majority of their videos), or a from a YouTuber who doesn't upload regularly and thus maintains a frequent stream of viewers. This is why animation channels struggle, since they can't apply to any of the major pillars of the Algorithm™. Video length, upload frequency, consistency, advertiser friendliness. The most important is video length, since YT prioritizes watch time over total views. The second most important is upload frequency, and thirdly is advertiser friendliness (videos that are not monetized are less likely to show up in search results and in sub boxes). This is why gaming channels can remain big and grow quickly, they upload 15+ minute videos every day (often multiple per day), and it's usually advertiser friendly. A new channel, like Jablinksi, wouldn't have to rely on many of these algorhitmic pillars at all, ergo he can retain almost 100% of his viewers-to-subs ratio. Most channels only push 15-20% at best. (ie. PewDiePie at 77+ mil sub but ~4-5 million views, Markiplier at 22+ mil sub but ~1-2 million views, Jacksepticeye at 21+ mil sub but ~1-2 million views; and those are some of the biggest channels on the platform.)
