https://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional/the-year-for-georgia-farmers-man-was-gut-wrenching/GaGwQh5Cs5cIlkycaBa3TI/ Not surprising, this winter we've been in a "heatwave" for 2 weeks straight with temperatures reaching 65~ degrees farenheit at the tail end of december. But i bet the farmers wont give a shit, especially when GA has one of the largest coal firing plants in the US, to the point that you can see the emissions from 20 miles away.
Most of the article is about the hurricane fucking them royally, not sure why this is in Polidicks Its a real downer too since last year was also awful for Georgia farmers. They can't catch a break
Man, I want to be a famer when I grow up.
"Well son, being a famer is a lot of responsibility. And it starts with your grades."
More honorable than growing up to be an internet shitposter like all of us sorry sods.
Damn, sure showed those farmers who produce the food that literally keeps you alive.
it'd be tragic if they weren't somehow responsible for it by supporting the GOP without question for decades.
They're controlled by the propaganda machine, they're not in control of who they can vote for.
no they can see their farms wrecked year after year. If they don't think the ecological collapse is important enough to stop supporting the people causing it then they are responsible.
I don't believe they can when they've been told for decades Dems will destroy them.
Yeah but it's only this bad because those fucking libs are making it this bad somehow. And if you don't believe that then it's because GOD is punishing us for the stuff the libs are doing. Look, somehow it's the libs fault. Trump 2020/life. MAGA.
Probably Sherman's March.
well fuckem just like the farmers and geriatrics that think living underwater in florida can't ever go wrong. The anti intellectualism in the US can only end in tragedy, we just haven't had one big enough to convince people to stop ignoring what scientists say.
Would be a net improvement to the nation on the whole though. t. floridian.

Here's a picture of said power plant btw: https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/uploads/attachments/2/5/0/6/0/25029.jpg mmm delicious clean coal.
This is called 'karmic irony'. Vote for environment destroying assholes, win spectacular prizes.
not to disagree with your point but the majority of that is steam fyi
ya except we all have to share the environment.
as viable cropland continues to move north due to warming I don't see this getting much better overall. Food production is the #1 thing that worries me about climate change, to be honest.
Which is generated by firing off a shit ton of coal. There's a literal train track that is constantly pumping coal into that plant to keep it running all day long.
Uuh, maybe start planting crops suitable for the new climate?
Probably expensive
