listen, you have got to be absolutely delusional if you are under any sort of impression that this is somehow DIFFERENT than the brand of comedy Louis C.K. has been long known for. this is the same guy who is well-known for a bit where he talks about the obvious life advantages being white has to offer. just because he's updated the subject matter of his comedy to include slightly more recent events doesn't at all change the caustic, cynical humor that comes through.
oh, and Cameron Kasky has already come out and defended him for doing this routine. so regardless of whether you like the guy or think he deserves a career or deserves to be up on stage, this is literally no different than his previous acts.

Comedians spend a lot of time in clubs working out jokes, trying different variations each set to see what works and what doesn't all in pursuit of getting enough content for a new 1 hour hbo/netflix/showtime special.
If he had said this during a special I think it'd be a different story.

I listened to the audio, it's not really offensive. It is painfully unfunny and the gender pronoun stuff almost comes across as pandering to me. Kinda sad to see someone with so much obvious comedic talent go for the lowest hanging fruit imaginable.

I can appreciate 'offensive' comedy, even if I disagree with the thrust of the joke. Hell I watch everything Ssethtzeentach puts out because his delivery is generally spot on, even though I'm pretty sure I'd blow a gasket if I were ever to be forced into an actual political discussion with the dude.
I feel like I care less about how ~offensive~ it is, and that the problem is that it's a shit joke. Hell, structurally it's not even a joke. It's just a weird-ass rant at the expense of people who got shot at by some irredeemable fuckstick, and it makes me sad because there's plenty of comedy from Louis C.K. that I have enjoyed in the past.
