Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) said that Democratic leaders in Congress have “American blood” on their hands by not providing funding for a proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
President Trump has requested $5 billion in funding for the wall — which he has called integral for border security — prompting a partial government shutdown that began Dec. 22.
In an interview with WAAY Tv, Brooks, a representative for Alabama’s 5th Congressional District, took Trump’s sentiment a step further. He specifically blamed presumptive House
speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) for the deaths of “thousands” of Americans each year because of illegal immigrants. He did not
offer facts or statistics to support his claim.
The full context of the question that sparked Brooks’s response wasn’t immediately clear. In December, Schumer and Pelosi met with Trump in an Oval Office meeting, where Trump
said a wall “totally solves the problem” of border security.
Last week, California authorities announced the arrest of a suspect and seven others in connection with the shooting death of a California police officer, Ronil Singh. The man charged
with shooting Singh, Gustavo Perez Arriaga, had entered the United States illegally, police say, adding fuel to debates about sanctuary laws and immigration.
American politicians are losing their damn minds.
How many people died in puerto rico by the way?
Said the fucking kettle.
"You see, they are brown aren't a state; therefor, the U.S. shouldn't have to take care of them." - Republicans
Pot, meet kettle, Brooks. Pot, meet kettle.
I can't fathom the cognitive dissonance needed to push the blame of death by exposure to those who aren't related to the affair at all, holding help to ransom because of your pathetic border fence.
I love how he just claims that thousands of illegals kill people like they're some kind of invasive, rabid animal.
oh wait, they all actually think like that
He did not offer facts or statistics to support his claim
Damn straight. More publications should be presenting these wild claims in the same light as the fact that they have no facts to base said claims on.
Alabama
Just the first word already explains everything.
I mean, if he wants to play that game, the GOP has the blood of everyone who died for lack of medical care because it'd bankrupt their entire family on their hands, as well as the thousands of preventable deaths in Puerto Rico, the victims of the (latest) synagogue shooting, and a litany of violence against minorities.
But nah it's the Democrats who're bad, thump thump thump goes the tribal drum against all logic and morality.
well that's disturbing propaganda mail waiting to happen.
I made this awhile ago, I guess now's a good enough time to post it.

You're not giving reaganomics enough credit for how stupid it is.
How many of these Trumpists are going to survive in politics after Trump is gone? I really hope that the fuck actually goes to prison so he can't continue to shit up our politics and empower these troglodytes. If anything, they will probably lack any and all self-direction and just latch onto the same old tired arguments that have been supplanted by whatever the new outrage of the week is 10 years from now, fading into nothingness and forgotten by their constituents when the next primary rolls around.
If anyone wants to know why the whole idea of "Immigrants taking my job" is so laughably stupid, here's a golden one for you.
Reagan made it legal to hire illegal workers without consequences.
Prior to Reagan, there was a punishment associated with hiring a non-documented worker. After Reagan, there was an incentive to stop hiring americans.
Yet, he's the republican hero. We live in a fucking joke of a timeline.
na we're back to the GOP blaming everything on the democrats and insisting they'd do better if only they had all the levers of power. What's really interesting is that we're not even 1 day into the new congress and they've already reverted back to this mode of operation.
Trump's Wall is like Shrodinger's cat, until you fund it it is simultaneously paid for by Mexico, pays for itself and requires funding from the government.
Don't forget that he passed the assault weapon ban which is taking people's guns away.
An interesting study in quantum stupidposition...
