While there are other nice maps based around this concept, there are several purposes to this effort of mine, mostly that it is a passion project that I enjoy working on. This version of hogwarts is also intended to be fully open world, or unrestricted; meaning that you can fly all around the exterior of the castle without limit—essentially a big box around a huge map as a skybox—anyone familiar with mapping will understand the problems that can come along with this. There are other reasonable ways to go about confining this map, but I really love the feel of being able to fly through a completed hogwarts (castle, terrain, environment) without limit, and so far this will remain the direction unless a gamebreaking issue is encountered and unable to be resolved.

The map is currently in state that I would consider pre-alpha. Much of what has been shown is subject to extreme modification/changes. Most of the aspects of this map are placeholders awaiting finalization and detailing. The current priorities are focused on finalizing shape, scale, exterior and interior layout. Lighting, detailing, modeling, and texturing is currently an afterthought and anything seen in regards to these aspects should be considered placeholders for testing purposes only. This thread will serve as hype/something to update as I make progress.
Would be there any kind of optimisation ?

Relatively compact and not the vast amounts of open space you tend to get in a few other Hogwarts maps.
Beautiful brushwork. Blends really well with your assets which are also amazing. Good luck with optimizing! I'd love to hear how you do it.
