No. If it was their doctors without borders summer drive I'd be fine, but there's been a history of sketchy stuff between agdq staff and this "cancer awareness" organization.

I encourage you to do your own research and if you come to a different conclusion, then still donate. But it disgusts me the amount some of these people pocket instead of it going to help people with actual cancer, and I want to at least have the other side out there so people can make a more informed decision.

Apollo is a drama queen, and is absolutely biaised in this. He's been fueling the GDQ hate train for years to push his own event, oceanside. GDQ is not free from criticism, but the way he frames it is completely exaggerated and baised. He's known to use his platform to basicely lie if it that helps his interests.

Keep in mind most runners are completely happy with how GDQ runs things today. They've not banned that many people, the outrage has just been that large each time.

GDQ actually does a good job at raising awareness and funds. And If you don't want to have to trust a third party, donate directly to the organisations.

I'm ignorant with how this stuff works but if you were directly donate to the charity instead of through AGDQ, would more go towards the cause or is it the same either way?
If there's gonna be a donation it should go towards whatever organization puts the most towards the cause itself.
