This is something that I've seen crop up on Reddit a lot, I think the issue stems from EA outsourcing their Service Teams to companies that don't know the policies or don't care about the policies. Once it picks up enough traction, everything will be reverted and the User will get an apology which we will all forget about for 6 months until it happens again.
It is a sad state that you have to get the backing of Reddit for you to refund a $40 game.
Refusing to give him a proper explanation as to why they supposedly can't do it or giving him contradicting messages to try to avoid addressing it and then ending the call is just pathetic.
Huh, its like they intentionally made the game shitty and expected no one to notice...
The game is pretty good but people really like to cry
Gotta love all those Indian names of EA representatives.
Yeah, multiplayer-focused games must be real fun with noone to play it with
i too enjoy playing a shooter by running around in an empty server
I bet you also have a phone.
EA goes through outsourcing its support to a lot of companies on like a rotation, remember a while back when the reps would just hand out keys like candy? Outsourced company they no longer use.
This will likely just end up with them changing contractors again.
It is a great game
For the $4 it was on sale for the other week
To offer a counter-perspective, the three times I've dealt with EA support it's all gone great. I get a quick response and they solve my problem satisfactorily. It's been years since I've had to contact them so maybe things have gone down hill though.
This is more of a management issue I think. These employees need to be trained more effectively.
For me it was really 50/50. I went to support over an issue twice and while the first attempt got nowhere the second went incredibly smoothly.
