This man is a pastor.
To be fair reporters fucking blow
How did I already know he was a Republican?
Trump supporter complains shutdown is 'not hurting the people he needs to be hurting' At this point the GOP is the Sociopath Party.
How so?
You won't find the levels of depravity in many other professions that reporters show to get their scoops over other networks. They stalk and harass people on the regular.
As resonant said, they are relentless and merciless, the harass anyone until they get something they can use against them, and anything can be twisted against you I'd probably do the same, journalists are dicks
Really doesn't have to be that way. US sets a bad example tbh.
It won’t get any better until people stop interpreting “freedom of the press” to mean “freedom from consequences”.
Except the alternative is just let politicians say shit without checks. Trump got away with and still does get away with it because he is shielded from direct scrutiny as are many politicians these days.
the political equivalent of failing a stealth mission and going loud

I think people were making a more generalized statement that the quality of reporting in this country is a dumpster fire, not that the press shouldn’t be allowed to ask questions to politicians. Also lack of media accountability is the exact reason he’s being shielded from scrutiny, as Fox and friends have nearly half the country believing everything bad about Trump is a hoax.
They're making it too easy now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FPELc1wEvk
To be fair this is the guy involved in the most notable case of electoral fraud in recent memory. If there is one person the press is entitled to pursue and question it's guy. I'm surprised to see someone who defends the tactics of people like Julian Assange attack reporters for being depraved stalkers and harassers.
ya but its that very attitude that drives fox, people falsely believe that since fox is not critical when the rest of the media is that the rest of the media has an agenda against trump and conservatives.
I can see the connection, albeit seems like a million miles away, but I see it. I have absolutely no issue with reporters investigating criminal activity, or digging deep into issues. What I do have a problem with is they themselves breaking the law, and paparazzi style photo ops to twist facts and figures for headlines. Look at any Fox News or BBC interview where they have someone on that they disagree with from the onset and you'll get my point. Sure, there are editors and such, but my point remains and there are still big issues. John Cleese puts it nicely for the UK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULfqhCNHQPA
It's really not, it should be actually quite obvious if you are going to argue that Assanges actions were done with some sort of investigative merit, as you have done in the past. Investigating criminal activity and digging deep into issues is exactly what is happening here. No one broke the law, stalked anyone, or twisted facts and figures for headlines. "Fox News and BBC bad, so news bad" is not an argument. Declaring the press as an institution, universally, is a pile of shit isn't a good long term strategy either. The only people this attitude helps are Trump and other people who benefit from this attitude.
You guys seem to be focusing 24 hour news networks with local/paper/national/inernational groups. NPR would never say, burst into a spree killer's home and instead use connections and FOIA requests to break stories. US News isn't a garbage fire, if you think that you're listening to a to few many altenative sources who have even worse records when it comes to transparency and checking bias at the door.
I like journalism because they help keep politicians accountable! Especially if they commit electoral fraud!
So what are we supposed to do, absolutely nothing and just continue to let media outlets (especially Fox News and alternative media) publish blatant lies and misinformation without consequence? Look at how well that’s worked out for the last few years. The damage is apparent and it’s time to admit we’ve got a problem. This issue isn’t going away just because nobody wants to admit the problem exists. If nothing is done about the propaganda and misinformation campaigns at the very least, then nothing’s preventing us from just ending up right here again in 4 to 8 years. Here’s a thought, let’s find a way to actually address misinformation so we don’t get another presidential candidate sponsored by Russia.
