Is there an comfortable, good quality chair that you would recommend for working at a computer? I don't intend to be stingy but I don't want to splurge either. I've seen advertisements for such chairs at or under $200, but it's hard to determine if they're any good or not.
Go to a real store with chairs on display and try them out. Buying chairs sight-unseen will get you a crappy or uncomfortable chair. I would also avoid flashy gamer bullshit. Staples, Office Max/Depot, IKEA, walmart/target/etc and even Microcenter all sell computer chairs.
Buy a car seat and weld some legs or office wheels to it. That'll be the best damn PC chair you'll ever have.
Most chairs are made of bonded leather which will fall apart after a while. I would go for a cloth/mesh chair if you want something longer lasting, or save up the money and get a top-grain leather chair (real leather).

I'm not going to recommend a specific chair, but I'm going to advise you to get a chair that has a tall ebough back support to reach the top of your head. I have a very ergonomic chair, but because the back doesn't reach my head I always slump down into it which is ruining my back. I would love a headrest, but this thing cost me 400 Euros and I ain't buying a new chair.
If you have money but a used Herman Miller Aeron or Embody. Or a steelcase leap They are expensive, yes, but they will last you a very very long time.
They aren't even necessarily expensive either. I've found them on craigslist for the cost of my meme DXracer chair.
I bought this http://www.playseat.com/shop/eu/wl/ergomic-office-seat/playseat-office-game-seat-black.html Even though I hate gamer gear shit, it was (cheaper than listed here) - it doesn't look super gamey, has alot of support and sits really comfortable. I used to have MARKUS Swivel chair this thing but it broke my back.
If you do this, get a leather seat from a 1990s or 2000s junkyard volvo. Any model really, comfy as hell but no armrests. I use one for my simracing rig You can mount it to a thick wood base, plywood or solid, then take the bottom half of an old office chair and bolt it to the wood. If cheap is the goal, check out what local businesses are selling off, you can get really nice stuff for like $20-50
Staples employee here, avoid anything staples brand generally on the poorer side of build quality. screw holes are never aligned im currently using this one https://www.staples.com/Staples-Torrent-Bonded-Leather-Managers-Chair-Black/product_923571 which isn't that bad, i got it cheaper bc of my employee discount
