If you use a macro, like in the corsair ICUE, does it get you banned?

I don't think you could get banned for using a macro, how would the game server know the difference? I use a Corsair K95 RGB Platinum with iCUE.

This is one of those questions that come up on just about any multiplayer game out there from time to time and fall back to a simple tried and true answer:

If what you're doing goes against the intended spirit of the game by circumventing intentional gameplay mechanics, then yes, you can get banned, and should. If what you're doing does NOT go against the original intended spirit of the game.. then no, you will not get banned.

What I gave him was the FACTS as PER the TOS... and trust me when i say.. no matter how "smart" you think you are Macros can be detected, it's just a matter of resources and the size of the problem.

. For Rust, the usage of any third-party tools designed to use macros in game are explicitly considered as cheating. Please note that Facepunch Studios has made a clear exception to this rule for guitar playing tools.
