See, if this were coming from any other president, this warning would have severe merit. Coming from Trump, the only consequence I see him giving turkey is if he somehow accidentally floundered into a completely different quagmire that, by coincidence, inconvenienced the turks.
he's given them a strongly worded tweet so you know he means business

President Trump issues a warning to the Turkish Government regarding the Kurds (2019)
I wouldn't be shocked to think that trump doesn't give a flying fuck about Turkey. I mean the man is a bull in a china shop, and yeah he's in bed with some of the worst of the worst countries but I've never heard of massive Trump investment in Turkish politics, as president or as a businessman. This is all a total shot in the dark going off of the very little information I know about Trump and Turkey, but I would give the guy at least a tiny bit of credit if he countered any Turkish action with a makeshift kurdistan.
"Likewise, do not want the Kurds to provoke Turkey. Russia, Iran and
Syria have been the biggest beneficiaries of the long term U.S. policy
of destroying ISIS in Syria"
Lol.
He praised Erdogan a couple of times before Turkey started investigating that pesky murder his Saudi Arabian buddies committed in their country. That could just be him not caring about Turkey enough to go against what congress wanted him to do, though. And if that's the case then Turkey's probably on his shitlist now, although the only actual retaliation I'd expect from him is longwinded twitter rants
about how much Turkey sucks, assuming something does happen.
Exactly, I can only imagine trump doesn't actually give two dried up shits about the Kurds though.
do not want the Kurds to provoke Turkey.
But, the Kurds existing at all is a provocation in the eyes of Turkey, isn't it?
And here's a solid propaganda material for Erdolf right before the elections, now he's gonna blame the US for the economic crisis.
How convenient..
"Uncle vlad what do I do?"
"da donald, you need to let the kurds and the turks work it out and remove US Troop like your Bolton is saying to do."
"ohkay"
seriously though he's been listening 100% to Bolton and Bolton's policy is 100% isolationism and survival of the strongest. If the kurds are massicured by the US pulling out well at least the US wasn't there to loose service men from this terrible blood feud, that's his logic. everyone but the US are savages even germany and especially the EU and why ware we defending their soil, that's the view of this dangerous man and he's got more power under trump than he ever had with bush
