"TSA has determined standard procedures were not followed and a passenger did in fact pass through a standard screening TSA checkpoint with a firearm at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on the morning of January 3," the release states.
Delta Airlines also issued a statement to CNN, saying that "upon the customer's disclosure, the airline reported the incident to the TSA."
However, the TSA dismissed suggestions the government shutdown contributed to the security lapse and said a normal amount of staffers were working that day.
Trump is practically asking for terrorists to attack so he can use emergency powers.

"We're just as useless" ? Not sure they had much they could do for a response.
This would be the exact perfect time for a terrorist attack
not only has he made it more vulnerable but he also would indirectly benefit very heavily from it, as would the establishment. It would also be used to justify 100% of everything he does.
Isn't this the second gun let through in three days?
I don't think he's intelligent enough to have that much of a gameplan.
Guy's a fucking idiot
The people using him are, though,
But he'll fix it once he gets the wall~

Pretty much free reign to do anything since there's a severe lack of Federal officers to patrol/enforce the park rules right now.
Okay, what is the deal behind going camping in a national park for the sole purpose of cutting down trees? Is there some inherent symbolism in cutting down this kind of tree, that would drive assholes of a particualr type to do this? Or is it just because they're endangered, and they're doing it for the same reason people hunt endangered animals?
they kind of are. TSA misses something like 95% of threats.

which always makes their year in a review posts kind of funny considering they claim to find something like 10 weapons per day haha

Atlanta is actually both the busiest airport in the US and the world so that isn't too surprising
It's huge as a transfer point between two other cities, makes sense they find the most there
The article says people cut them down to make "new roads". I assume they mean ATV trails, perhaps?
TSA probably can't but the TSA Union probably can.
The same reason a lot of assholes destroy anything.
"It was in the way/inconvenient to me".
Reposting from the other thread in case anyone missed it:
Not only did he get a handgun past TSA, he was stupid enough to try carrying his handgun to one of the countries with the strictest gun control in the world, Japan.
