But Satan is supposed to be cunning?
Wasn't Satan the most beautiful angel or something? Shouldn't a dude that tempts people into sin be hot?
Reminds me some dudes that made some really hot satan statues
this explains a lot of things for me
That's just something Milton invented when he wrote Paradise Lost.
It looks like some CGI thing from a Ugandan movie. At least on the first picture
What the Devil can't have a good time? If anyone knows how to have a good time, it'd be the originally Macdaddy of sin, Diablo.
I mean, it is a mockup.
It adds that Satan is supposed to be "repulsive and despicable - not kind and seductive, like that of the 'good-natured devil' without malice" that has been proposed. Wasn't it the other way around since always? A false goody two shoes deceiving people with a good first impression and seduction? They won't listen the idea of mock up after finding something to complain about. The other devil in the image will go unnoticed, then.
Ok but Satan is literally called "The Prince of Lies," because he is deceptively friendly and uses the facade of a well-meaning trickster to tempt people into sinning. Frankly I think this says more about their faith than it does about the sculpture itself.
is he taking a fuckin selfie?????
Nothing is more devilish than using the front camera
It worrifies me how the far-right is managing to accumulate so much power to the point this kind of stuff was pretty much irrelevant before. On each step, the church gets more power back through suing and winning in trials "against offenses to religion" while they rant all what they want about LGBT, women and other minorities without anyone being able to fight back.
