This image is old enough to smoke legal weed.
for the sake of outward influence, new york making this move is pretty important
New Jersey may legalize it, but then it'll tax it to the point where it costs $80 a gram
holy shit that's bad on so many levels.
At least that would protect people from posession charges, even if they're still buying from a dealer
Legalize MJ, announce city wide discount event at fast food chains/supermarkets. Economy booms. You're welcome, New York and New Jersey. As for the health concerns for mass intake of junk food? We'll cross that bridge when we get there.
DO IT get the domino effect rolling you dorks.
Slowly but surely they'll get to my state. Soon, yes, soon!
Murphy said he would legalize pot in his first 100 days of office, two years ago. He's just a mouth piece and spitting out whatever the masses will support. At least in New York actual progress is being made towards legalization
Why?
that's immediately after the world trade centers fell
Sorry but, so? I mean just a few days ago you joked "We took out Iraq, conquered Afghanistan, all we need is an Iran and then america is officially greater than the british empire" By "took out Iraq, conquered Afghanistan" you're joking about the massive numbers of civilian collateral casualties caused by the US. Honestly, if someone wants to meme about smoking weed and 9/11 then who cares, it's a joke. Just like I hope your post was.
ya its not bad its just a dark joke
Of course they do.
Now just one level But yeah, this is excellent. I really don't see how legalization could be reversed at this point without a full on legal war. If we say this was indeed a War on Drugs, and if we were to compare it to a moment in World War II, I'd say we're right at Little Boy.
Hmmst'd've
They were just hotboxing and it got out of hand. Could happen to anybody.
"when I asked if you were down to smoke, this was not what I had in mind"
Not that it has to do with NY or NJ, but went to probahtion the other day and I overheard some cops talking with some suits, about this, and other states where it's legal (I'm in good ol south GA) and the cops were saying how they hate busting for weed and how they feel it's a waste of time, that it should be legal. It was oddly nice to hear that from those guys, to know not all of em got their heads up their asses.
I know this may surprise you but the governor doesn't write laws, the legislature does. Sweeney has been dicking around trying to pass a bill with the lowest tax rate in the country so that Murphy vetoes it and they can pin the blame on him. Of course, they haven't actually bothered to pass anything in the first place, so Murphy can do literally nothing until then. Blame the legislature, not Murphy.
I think a deep south state making the move would be more important. If New York legalizes weed, then you can just blame it on "coastal liberals". Only other coastal liberal states, who are already inclined to legalize weed, are going to legalize weed.
