• [VIDEO] Pushing 40 Bit - A Book Club But For Video Games

So a few months ago a couple friends and I were playing Rocket League and chatting about whatever and someone said it'd be interesting to see something like a book club but for single player games. Cuz we're old and have fond memories of games that don't have a multiplayer or online component. One thing led to another and we're starting a podcast / YouTube channel about exactly that. Our 2nd episode about Crysis released today and I thought there may be some Facepunchers who'd be interested in checking us out. Episode 1 is an introductory episode about ourselves, our gaming preferences and such, and what you can expect with the rest of the episodes. 2nd is Crysis, as I mentioned, and for the 3rd episode we played Darksiders. That one should launch Feb 1, along with audio versions of the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, etc. You can expect full discussion episodes monthly, with shorter gameplay stuff from the game we are playing trickling out through the month. If you look on our channel you can watch gameplay from each of our playthroughs of Crysis right now. The idea going forward is that we'll tell you what we're playing next time, either on twitter or at the end of an episode, and listeners can play along with us and join in on the discussion. It's been really fun so far, but also a lot of work and quite the learning experience as none of us have done something quite like this or of this scale before. So it's pretty raw and amateur but I think we'll get better, and get better equipment, as we go along. Anyway, no more blabbing from me, here's the first 2 episodes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clrz8B1NX9s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwU4YCQGAfs I should say with the Crysis episode we had our dedicated mic die on us halfway through recording and we didn't notice. Only the mic on the camera actually captured audio. It's still listenable, but doesn't sound as great as it could. So subscribe and yell at us for all the mistakes we're making!
