Soon: "Putins interpretator found dead floating in a river"
By suicide by gunshots to the back of the head and acute poisoning.
He accidentally fell on the knife, and then fell on a gun which went off and shot him
This just in, Big Mac sauce found on the knife! More at 11!
Such a horrific suicide.
By chance his interpreter took up a job refueling nuclear reactors and had a tragic industrial accident involving polonium.
Mother Russia knows how to treat her employees, and firmly encourages moonlighting in a wide array of professions!
Then proceeded to accidentally cut his own penis off and jump into a frozen river.
In later news man found mysteriously buried alive in bad fish.
It is unfortunate he had confused a glass of water with a glass of molten steel, otherwise he would've gladly clear up the confusion about the alleged collusion.

its 2 of Russia's favorite means to ending people in one, a floating nuclear reactor to irradiate them and a convieniant water borne platform to dispose of them!
Would this undermine the job security of interpreters?
I'd say Trump telling his interpreters to keep quiet undermines their job more.
No, it doesn't. Interpreters are sometimes privy to national secrets and incredibly privileged information. Demanding they reveal things told to them in confidence like this for stupid politics will put the entire profession at risk. Even if a judge were to compel information from an interpreter, I expect it'd be done in-camera specifically because of the level secrecy expected of them.
Add that this will severely limit any possibility of private personal meetings between the president, or other political agents, and foreign dignitaries in the future. When the other leader knows your interpreter can be coerced into revealing any private information by the party's political enemies, which is exactly what will happen once this precedent is set.
their notes and everything is already privy to the national apparatus. the only difference is that congress is requesting a brief on what happened given how trump has taken extraordinary steps to cover up what was said in his meetings instead of document it like is protocol.
Good thing the people who want to question them is the FBI
I thought Putin speaks English well enough, why do they even need interpreters? Is it just something that's traditionally done even though it's not strictly necessary?
Between Trump and Putin, only one speaks English well enough not to needan interpreter.
Why? Isn't it normal to document these meetings, but Trump has insisted on finding ways to prevent that?
Starting to look like Nixon's tapes all over again.
