Holy shit! I remember watching this video a long a time ago without any context. I thought a chop-chop to the face with full force would kill someone in an instant. A relief knowing they survived at least.
If the story she told is true and was super out of it during the attack, then I kinda feel bad for her too. Either way, she is still an irresponsible asshole.
Man, reading about the attack makes oneself feel weird. From one side the horror of getting suddenly attacked by someone for no reason, and from other the sadness of what lead to it, especially if the "doesn't remember anything but the feelings of rage" was true.
I hope she's recieving psychological assistance however.
Amati said she became "incredibly anxious" and went into a depressive episode after she realised the group had identified her as transgender.
She said she had put her leg against Ms Jansen to "test the waters", but Ms Jansen recoiled "not as ... a natural kind of readjustment as if she was burned [but] as if she'd touched a leper or someone that was infected".
That is the usual reaction to being molested in public by a stranger, yes.
that's hardly molestation

Lady, if them finding out you were transgender (not exactly a smart thing to hide when it comes to dating but whatever) created an atmosphere that made you feel that way, how on earth did you think rubbing your leg against her was a good idea?
well it's hyperbole, but you get the idea. If you randomly rub someone's legs in a sexual way with your own in public, people are going to recoil because that's fucking weird.
