At least three mega bombshells and it's still January.
Lying to Congress is a crime Directing others to commit crimes is a crime
The sanctions vote proved 42 of the 53 GOP senators are compromised by Russia or simply don't give a fuck, must convince 9 more for impeachment conviction.
Excuse my ignorance to how this works but can he still be convicted and imprisoned for the crime while serving as president regardless of congressional support?
Technically probably yes, it's only policy that the DoJ doesn't indict a sitting policy, not a law
Depends on who you ask
Sitting Presidents can be subpoenaed and theoretically indicted, but I don't believe they can be convicted in court while in office. Impeachment is fundamentally the same as an indictment for setting officials, and impeachment trials are just that, a trial with a jury of 100 senators.
If this was Obama the entirety of the right would be freaking the fuck out about "impeach him!!" but since it's their precious manchild they're all silent. Figures

It makes it that much more hysterical that the right was posting memes/image macros during the election about the Clintons and how "laws only matter for poor people", and then Trump does all this shit to a deafening silence from the same people.
that's not even hypethetical, they believed both the IRS "scandal" and Fast&Furious testimonies were directed by the WH at the time.
I say we make Trump an example of what happens when you have a corrupt puppet of a hostile foreign power as president who lies and covers up the truth. Lock his ass up, all of them.
So lets say Trump and everyone implicit gets locked up and all that, What about all of his loyal followers? The ones who I saw on T_D talking about how Trump's so great they're gunna carve his face in a mountain literally? I can't imagine they'll take it lying down.

Buzzfeed hired on a bunch of serious journalists a while back and they've been doing rock solid work.
https://mobile.twitter.com/briantashman/status/1086108887382740992 Oddly relevant question from Graham, just two days ago.
I'm still just waiting for tapes to come out that paint it clear as day. There ARE tapes. They just need to come out already.
OP had a bad source. Mixed = nono. Fixed it with a high factual source from AXIOS.
If Clinton can be impeached for lying about a BJ, can Trump be impeached for obstruction of justice for lying about Trump Tower Moscow? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
It'd be absolutely hysterical if Trump didn't actually collude but still got impeached for just lying.
The replacing it was Axios part seems a little redundant since they're citing buzzfeed news anyway. Also remember that buzzfeed new was the one that broke the Steele dossier, so it worth posting anyway, I'd say. Also, HOLY SHIT
You're right. Slightly off topic but 2 people got canned for this because mixed factual reporting = could not be credible. You can see massive issue here as you'd rely on non exclusives and you aren't providing multiple sources on a tricky source. The fix could be that the bias gets loosened and if posting a tricky source you post a second as your backup. Not official still discussing but by the book 2 people got banned on a hyper galaxy brain level of thinking here and that's a bit bullshit.
Maybe if the source exists outside of the criteria, the OP can include an appeal in the original post of why they feel the story is worthy of an exception, in which mods can offer input.
Well, this is certainly something interesting to wake up to.
@Taliyah I noticed you banned for his source being Buzzfeed. I haven't personally looked into it myself, but according to this reddit comment, Buzzfeed News is separate from the clickbait website, and is run by a Pulitzer Prize winner.
Considering this is major news across every major news station this morning I think it is fine.
Nah I didn't ban him cause of the buzz feed and buzz feed news simulairty. Was due to mixed factaul check, which back in old rules would have nailed him fair and square. However we've just broken some new rules which will make a lot of people including us moderators a lot happy. The bans may have been by the book but it showed how hilariously flawed that rule is currently ATM hence were looking to fix it now. I think the rule is as dumb as Trump and it's clear that we can't rely on media bias fact check alone. You're gonna love it. But yeah fact that this is now like everywhere it's in the clear. Also holy shit.
