Ohh while was sitting got the crazy shit idea. Love how game became popular and regularly updated... its not pay 2 win and also skins are not damn unreal high... game is perfect now but what ca happen if they make free 2 play version. You can only join in 1 server or smth like this... without ability to use skins or switch servers... and play with frirnds to test game.
Never when the game become free become trash full of kids
Same... I know but if they make something just for test the game would be ok...
lol that cost never prevents this
So hackers have an even easier time getting into the game, okay cool, tell me about your other great ideas.
That`s why got idea about limit to one server per f2p copy... And also not able to join official servers. Or something other. Just see idea from the good side... about hackers they are worst thing ever and no matter how expensive rust is they will cheat again... They should make game 50 euro in this case then ;)
Hackers get fucking permabanned from the game and their hardware tagged so if they buy a new copy of Rust on a new Steam account on the same computer they get instantly banned again. There's none of this "one year" business, it's permanent and it always has been since Rust legacy went live on Steam with VAC integration in December 2013. So, no, if someone cheats in a F2P copy of Rust, that's it, they get told to fuck off with a hardware ban. But EAC can't detect and ban new cheaters instantly, so even if they'd be permanently burning their account there would still be enough time to ruin players' fun a lot before the ban hits, and if the cost of a copy of the game is $0 I promise you there will be a major increase in hacking. So, no, this idea is pointless for Rust. There is zero reason Rust would need to go F2P, it's got steady player numbers as it is.
Personally I wish the game cost more, no one wants to lose a $60-$100 game and buy a new one more than once. and before someone chips in with "its not worth that much money as its not finished" I was buying game cartridges for Atari 2600 that cost that much and only had 4k of information on them, Make getting banned more expensive.
