I wish there was an app where the moment muppets like this guy and trump said something you could play a video of them saying the thing they deny. And show it to there face,
“I am very pro-Turkish, but what I certainly can’t imagine is a situation in which 77 million [his estimate] of my fellow Turks and those of Turkish origin can come here without any checks at all. That is really mad” Yeah.. I highly doubt that someone whose grandpa was literally lynched by the Turkish revolutionaries would be "pro-Turkish" that's like me being pro-Russian. On 4 November 1922, Kemal was kidnapped from a barber shop at Tokatliyan Hotel in Istanbul, and was carried to the Asiatic side of the city by a motor boat en route to Ankara for a trial on charges of treason. On 6 November 1922, the party was intercepted at İzmit by General Nureddin Pasha, then the Commander of the First Army, which was aligned with Mustafa Kemal Pasha. Kemal was attacked and lynched by a mob set up by Nureddin with sticks, stones and knives, and hanged from a tree. His head was smashed by cudgels and he was stoned to death. As described by Nureddin personally to Riza Nur, who with Ismet Inönü was on his way to Lausanne to negotiate peace with the Allies, "his blood-covered body was subsequently hanged with an epitaph across his chest which read, 'Artun Kemal'". This bestowal of a fictitious Armenian name administered a final indignity to the victim.[14] He was considered a Quisling. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Kemal Also contrary to the popular belief, we're more likely to immigrate to countries like Germany and The Netherlands since most of us already have relatives there or even Azerbaijan in case shit hits the fan.
I hope someone calls him out in the Commons but our politics is getting to the stage where a politician can promise free space unicorns for everyone, write a written pledge, have it broadcast 542 times a day and when they win they deny ever saying such a thing and their supporters rally around them.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ4RX5PsnFM This would be at the top somewhere. US ambassador in the Netherlands is asked about the time he was in the US, claiming there are no-go zones in the Netherlands and politicians are being burned. The US ambassador says he never said that and it's "fake news". They then play him the clip where he literally says that, and the dude suddenly denies ever having claimed he called it fake news. You can literally see the journalist do a double take as the guy stands there blatantly lying to his face about something that happened less than a minute ago.
Boris would deny the existence of his own children if he though it put him closer to his goals. He's the worst turncoat in Westminster.
Props to The Guardian for calling him out even in the headline. Too many publications try to tiptoe around stating the obvious when certain figures publicly lie.
People like Boris and Rees-Moggs are the most dangerous Tories out there. They're not in the Tory party out of principle or to defend "conservative values," they're there to further their own selfish interests and to enrich themselves at the expense of the poor.
I see he's practicing his pussy grabbing technique he learned from Trump
am i crazy or does he look to have aged about 30 years since the referendum
nights and nights of "OH GOD THEY BLOODY DID IT, I JUST WANTED THE POWER NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS THING OH GOD WE'RE ALL DOOMED" or lots of drinking.
This would be funny if these kinds of people weren’t in positions of power in the most powerful country in the world.
