This thread is mainly a savings megathread to show off goals that you will be saving up for and to essentially provide advice for each other on what to do and what to aim for as well as what to avoid doing.

Hi I'm currently saving up to get 4 more Lamborghinis. I have moved all of my manufacturing plants to United Republic of Tanzania, as the workers there are willing to work for 36 Cents per Week, USD. My quarterly profts were down by $8, so I've also begun lobbying in Congress in order to fund a bill that will force the government to just give me money. Does anybody else know of even more fun methods of saving money? I'd love to hear them!
Planning on saving up 2500 Dollars + 400 Dollars Shipping for this bad boy. A Lumber Jacques cabinet. That's what I'm aiming for as a trophy before I go for bigger fish all the way to a hard work acumen that will make me a billionaire.

It just seems like something that cost money comes up each month, every month I think "oh man if all goes well I can probably save or get myself out of some debt"
Nope dental work, car rego, vet bills, cat ate my good headphones and my latest lovely adventure my spare car keys (if I can't find them I will have to pay 200-300+ to get replacements)
just spare me life
For any US users who are serious about this, I recommend reading up on the Roth IRA.
as far as saving money goes i have a 401k, everything else goes towards living or paying off my debts
once i pay off debts i might save up for a house down payment, and then get a roth ira or something
I've never had any savings but I'm really good at not spending money. Here are some pro tips:
You can walk anywhere if you leave early enough. The more you walk the easier it gets and the less it bothers you until eventually it becomes kind of fun. Plus, people look at you like a superhero if they ask you how you got there.
Podcasts are free so you can just listen to thousands of hours of podcasts as entertainment.
You can spend $0 on a night out with mates by sneaking in a couple beers from home, and just not getting that fucked up. Bonus: You can get home safely since you're not shwasted.
Nicotine is an appetite suppressant so having a vape pen can help settle your stomach when you have to go without a meal. Helps skip the embarrassment when rich friends want order fancy food you cant afford and you have to pretend to have eaten already.
Don't ever eat fast food. It's a trick. Not only is it gross you're getting like no food for your money. If you can, try and eat fruits or veggies or something and then if you really want you can get like fries or a dollar burger from a fast food place to trick yourself into thinking that's what you ate, but you actually got your sustenance from something with a much higher nutrition to cost ratio.
Creativity (making something) or playing old video games are also good forms of entertainment. Instead of buying a game that isn't going to make you happy, you can play an old game from your childhood that might actually make you feel nostalgia and happiness and they're usually very cheap (if you don't own them already).
If your city has a decent music scene, you can see life-changing shows for a $5. All you have to do is research and find that good good underground.
