IIRC he only really considers the n-word to be a slur when white Americans are saying it, I guess because of the demographic and historic differences between America and Europe, and because he had a black grandfather so he "can't be racist against blacks" or whatever.
The entry of alt-right figures into UKIP was a big part of the reason Farage distanced himself from the party, ultimately quitting when they allowed Tommy Robinson to join. So I'd assume they will be banned from UKIP 2

As for the comment, he was having a debate with alt-right people and they insulted him or something, to which he responded:
