Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was released in May 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Overwatch puts players into two teams of six, with each player selecting one of several pre-defined hero characters with unique movement, attributes, and skills.
Players on a team work together to secure and defend control points on a map and/or escort a payload across the map in a limited amount of time, unless you have Genji or Hanzo on your team.
Players gain cosmetic rewards that do not affect gameplay, such as characters skins and victory poses, as they continue to play in matches, most likely useless voice lines and sprays. The game was launched with casual play, and competitive matchmaking was added in June 2016. Blizzard states that all Overwatch updates will remain free, with the only additional cost to players is through many, many micro-transactions to earn additional cosmetic rewards

Assault is a game mode in which the attacking team must take two capture points, while the defending team attempts to prevent them until the time runs out. When the first capture point is captured, the the timer will increase and both teams spawning locations will move. Overtime will be triggered if the point is being contested by the attacking team, for as long they are on the point. Each Capture point is divided into three segments, representing a capture % checkpoint.
Control is a game mode in which two teams fight over a capture point in a best-of-three format. While a team is controlling a capture point, they will make progress toward 100% completion. Whichever team reaches 100% first wins the round. Overtime will be triggered if one team has reached 99% while the point is being contested by the other team, for as long as they are on the point. This game mode does not have a time limit, unlike others. All three rounds are located in the same location, with each round located in a different area of the map and featuring a new capture point.
Escort is a game mode in which the attacking team must escort a payload to a delivery point, while the defending team attempts to prevent them until the time runs out. Each maps has between 2-3 check points between the starting position and delivery point which when reached, will increase the timer and move both teams spawning locations. Overtime will be triggered if the payload is being contested by the attacking team, for as long they are near the payload.
Hybrid is a game mode in which combines two types of other game modes. Currently, the only hybrid maps available are those that start with an Assault capture point and continue with an Escort objective. These sections behave exactly as their stand-alone game modes do.

Competitive Mode is the ranked Play Mode of Overwatch. In this mode, players stay on the same team for a full attack/defense rotation. Players are unable to join another game if they leave their original match before it ends. In addition, continued leaving may result in being restricted from Competitive Play. Departed players are not backfilled. Players must achieve level 25 before this mode is unlocked.
A player must complete ten placement matches to receive their rank each season. The player's ranking is represented as a Skill Rating (SR) between 1 and 5000, with a higher number representing a higher level of skill. After each match, players will gain or lose a certain amount of SR. The amount gained or lost depends on several factors, including the difference between each team's average SR, the win rates of heroes on a given map, and individual performance. Players do not gain or lose any SR when a match ends in a draw.
Alongside the 1-5000 scale, players are assigned tiers depending on their SR which is publicly displayed on their portrait
At the end of each season, all players who have completed the season's ten placement matches receive a season-exclusive player icon and spray. Players who finish a particular season with a Heroic rank also receive an animated version of that season's spray, and a season-exclusive Hero player icon.

Ten Competitive Points are awarded for winning a match in Competitive Play, and three are awarded for tying. Players also receive Competitive Points at the end of each season based on the highest rank they achieved that season.[5] These points can be used to unlock special cosmetic items, such as Golden Weapon skins.

Never understood this pick and choose thing, they've got enough manpower to give everyone a skin.
They outsource their skins to other company and do some by themselves usually (You can check most skin on artstation and see what studio made them, airborn studio being one of them and they also worked on many base overwatch asset and even some release skin have been outsourced), additionally YES, they got the manpower, but that manpower is split in different job, you got the artist working on the different new heroes, map, cinematics, additionally not all of that manpower are artist so you still have programmer and the rest.
So yeah, they could give everyone a skin.
If they stop developing anything art-related for a while to make 28 skin.
Or do you simply wish for 8 legendary, and 20 epic/recolors? as if the competitive skin weren't enough. Christ, what an eyesore they are.

Considering how many things like this are US only, I don't have a lot of sympathy
Overwatch is still a million-dollar-generating game. You telling me Activision/Blizzard is too small of a fledgling-darling-indie company to hire a few artists, modelers, and texture designers to professionally make skins for every event? Because in my experience, those are literally the only reason to play the game if you don't want to get into it competitively. League of Legends manages around 4 skins per patch (which is every 2 weeks), usually requiring completely new animations (which overwatch has never needed for new skins in the game's history) and entirely new voicebanks and soundbanks (at most Overwatch skins give an extra 2 or 3 voicelines), as well as literally every skin requiring a professionally made splash art. Hell, Paladins pumps out around 5 or 6 new skins a patch, and patches are usually 2-3 month gaps.
Plus, it's clear they aren't "bogged down" with anything big. Aside from announcing the lego sets, what have they done recently? Released Ashe like 2 months ago? If anything, they should be pumping out skins every month so players have a reason to keep playing beyond their MMR.
But they do make skins for every event? They made 8 legendary this time.
4 skins per patch is LOW for league of legends standard. We're talking about a game with 143 characters, and the man complains was that they did not give skin to the 28 character PER EVENT at once.
Do you really want to use League of Legends? Okay, then the "pick and choose" still apply because there are characters which have not gotten a single skin IN OVER THREE YEAR such as Urgot who only very recently in August 2018 got his High noon skin (that most fans apparently agree is not that good) and heimerdinger last skin was released in 2014 before his new (legendary) dragon master skin
(which is very good, on the other hand).
May I remind you that the Overwatch team is/was composed of 100 person at its height and that activision-blizzard have multiple game to take care of, while Riot Game is entirely dedicated to League of Legend with 1700+ employee, not only that but even Riot Game outsources their splash art to freelancer (Like the new Miss Fortune Splash art or the akali rework splash art).
I don't even want to speak about the jokes that is the paladins skin quality, because they really like to invest in it - Yet the game is extremely broken and unpolished. The game is not called "Bugadins" by the community for no reason, and I heavily suggest you watch Z1unknown and Helvian video about the state of streaming + what they hate about the game to know the status of paladins currently.
The skin quality in Paladins isn't even that good: Seriously, they keep pumping out uninspired mecha battlepass. The remix skin were all ugly (paladins is still on the unreal engine 3 by the way). I would not use paladins as its a lower standard of quality.
And again, Overwatch do have 5 to 8 new skin a patch every 2 to 3 month like paladins in the forms of event, so I don't really get you. Mind you, I could say that since you wanted to use League of Legend as an example, League of Legend has inferior standard of quality compared to Overwatch as it is in top-down view and that everything must look good from the top so they don't have as much work: But
then I remind myself that a new league of legend champions take over 9 month to be developed.
Shame its not including the US, it reminded me that i was doing a design for a Gladiator-styled Reinhardt that i never finished.

But it's the year of the pig. They had one job.
It's the same as the original set, loose. I essentially took the official MEKA frame and changed the parts around it.
It's kinda hard to engineer a solution because of the geometry of the minifig torso; the higher you rotate the arms, the smaller the gap is.
I might start working on a more accurate/fixed MEKA like how I did my Reinhardt from the previous thread.
