Looks like they've improved everything across the board except AI. which still seems a little sluggish.
I'm disappointed the Duplet is gone, but I will admit that the Ashot looks much better as a double or quadruple barrel shotgun than it did.
as long as they still have the Uboinik I'm good
They showed it in the trailer, calling it the 'Shambler'. Though I suppose that means no Heavy Machine Shotgun, if it's just the Ashot and the Shambler. Pity.
im rly excited for metro exodus
hell same
i need to shoot the gun at the lil goblins

It's sad that so many games do the revolver animations as such that the cylinder is closed by flicking that games with revolvers shut properly are a rare novelty.
Point being that especially in a post apocalyptic world one would imagine characters to treat their weapons with care, especially in a world where people haven't been tainted by seeing the revolver flicks in all the hollywood movies and videogames.
Kinda interesting that they sort of retconned Kalash 2012 and Bastard now fills Lolife's place but I guess whith that amound of customization it was needed to be done. No DShK shotgun and railgun upsets me though.
I genuinely enjoyed using the bicycle shotgun in the Redux games, no one cares about that toploading p90 mag thing tho. heh
Isn't it entirely likely the other guns will be in the game? It's just a video talking about the classes, not a comprehensive breakdown of every weapon in the game.
Though it does seem kind of odd that the air rifle is an automatic now.
I haven't played the games in a long time so I might be wrong, but I thought that the air rifle was always automatic.
In the first game it was single shot and the higher the pressure the more damage it did. It wasn't bolt-action or anything, but it didn't have the rate of fire it has in the trailer.
Sorry for my negativity and ignorance here, but, as cool as the game seems to be, how is this even Metro anymore? Is there any explanation to why people are suddenly out in the world and living? It kind of really turns me away from one of the main concepts that made metro, well, metro. It seems to focus so much on just gun toting now rather than the slower paced and almost horror oriented gameplay of the first game.
I hope ranger mode will actually be... made with effort this time. Last Light's (PAID) was so lazy that they legitimately just turned off the hud.
Without giving you a single way to check what side weapons you had, ammo, medpacks... anything.
Oh boy, spoler time!
In the metro 2035 book it's explained that the whole wod survived but descendants of pre-war government kept it secret from general population to have their own personal "zoo". Also every faction leader reported to them directly so the whole nazi vs. soviets war was basically for shits and giggles.
It's always been that fast, it fires in semi-auto as fast as you can tap the mouse, but you drain pressure quick doing that.
The revolver reload has always been a flick in the Metro games. People do it because it looks cool. I'm pretty sure people did it before film was invented because it looked cool too.
The english voice acting is still pretty bad.
I genuinely can’t tell you the last time that I have seen a game where you reload a revolver by manually manipulating the cylinder with your hands, and not a flick motion.
Hell, isn’t flicking actually damaging the gun? I have a vague recollection of the REX being shelved because people instinctively flicked it open, and since it was break action, it damaged the hinge
I'd be surprised if this was literally everything but at the same time the amount of customization may mean there doesn't need to be that many weapons if enough combinations can fulfill enough roles.
Battlefield 4 has the REX reloaded by manually manipulating the cylinder, for both opening and closing. See the timestamp.

Well AFAIK before film open cylinder revolvers weren't all too common.
But the point is: Doing it can easily cause damage to revolvers. Like a cylinder that doesn't align properly can easily cause the damn thing to explode.
I'm a bit sad the Kalash 2012 seems to be replaced by variant of the Bulldog. The design of the 2012 didn't make much sense but I liked lore-wise that was the last AK design before the bombs fell. When you got it you knew there wasn't a better AR in the game.
That being said I love me some weapon customization so I can live with it.
Aw, so does this mean my Abzats is gone? That makes me sad.
3:31 shows off the Hellbreath (Railgun). It's been merged with the Tikhar as part of the weapon mod system, much like the Duplet is now part of the Ashot
