Please stop Brexit
I wonder what the response will be when there are shortages after the brexit. Who will they blame? The EU?
muslims for lowering the pork demand
I hope that at that point they'll realize their mistakes. I'm still baffled this farce is even going on. Democracy my ass.
The poor. Because the people who are spearheading this retarded operation are capable of having their private jet fly over to the EU to pick up the groceries with not so much as a wave of their hand. They don't give a shit.
My parents continue to argue that Brexit is a good thing and that it maintains our national identity, and that the tourism industry in Britain ("People love Big Ben!") will prevent any economic fallout. They're the same type of person that believes British manufacturing is going to skyrocket once we leave the EU. They basically want the British Empire but an economic powerhouse rather than wealth through illegal acquisition. Unsurprisingly, they don't take facts that contradict them very well. save me
I wasn't worried as my diet is pretty shite and I don't eat many fresh foods or produce. Then I read that toilet paper was included and we have a 2-day reserve. What fresh hell is this?!
I was going to say I'm surprised there's been little political violence coming from the remain supporting side of this mess, as leaving the EU the way our government almost certainly intends to at this point (and that is, letting the time limit for negotiations just "accidentally" expire) is going to fuck over the way of life for so much of this country. But then I remembered that the remain side generally aren't simple minded psychotics. We've already had one MP assassinated in broad daylight thanks to the fear mongering of the leave campaigns, and the right-wing tabloid media have been trying to rile up the leave supporters ever since. Jo Cox wasn't even fucking cold before the leave campaign started again. I'm just wondering how much it would take to get people who don't want to actually destroy this country to march on Westminster and cause a genuine fuckin ruckus. Protests like the Peoples Vote march got attention, but the MPs don't care. They're holed up in Parliament, cozy and safe from it all. Their lives aren't going to get noticeably worse thanks to their backgrounds and pay checks.
Not long after the food runs out.
