no just no just no just no no no just no why
That food is in water that has touched the anuses, penises and vaginas of every person in there. No thank you.
ah china, you do you and keep those dangerous pathogens over there
Still more hygienic than their street food
There isn't enough information here, do they eat the food in the tub they bath in? The whole health-consciousness is obvious bullshit ploy to con the abundance of superstitious Chinese, still.

I believe this is all of us at the moment reading the article.
dude it's no worse than china street food apparently sewer oil is sometimes reused in the dingiest places.
Recycled grease makes me think of that one Junji Ito horror manga.
I'm reminded of the time we had a Great Wall restaurant here, and some of my co-workers from an old employer were sent to survey the air-conditioning ducts. As they walked through the kitchen, not only were the employees literally living in the restaurant, but they also saw a wok on the stove full of water and underwear. They were doing their laundry with their cooking utensils. And that's why they called it the "Great Wall of Chones" from that day on.
The food on the skewers doesn't match any of the things they're bathing in. Plus you can't bathe in water hot enough to cook with. I don't know why people are assuming they're eating the food in the water, rather than it just being a wasteful gimmick.
because that's less interesting and outrageous
Because even then that's extremely unhygienic regardless?
how is it any more unhygienic than sitting in a hot tub other people have sat in or swimming in a lake?
A lake is it's own ecosystem, a hot tub is a (somewhat) closed and regulated environment. That is completely different than willingly entering pools of water full of nutrients for bacteria to feast and multiply on. It's just a bad fucking idea plain and simple even if it's being overblown.
Would you eat food that probably had poopwater splashed on it?
how dirty it is doesn't really bother me as much as the food waste.
the water touched by the anuses is absorbed through the skin and also orifices like the ear. there is no escaping this truth.
That lettuce is far too vibrant and still has a lot of it's crisp shape for something that is supposedly in a hot-spring, i'd argue the food in the water is plastic, why would they risk someone busting a banana open into the water, or leaning onto a chilli and unknowingly releasing capsaicin in to the water? Also, hot-springs are sourced by a constant source of water, and get cleaned and refilled weekly so they're actually fresher than your local pool, and like your local pool, you take an entry and exit shower before and after being in their for the courtesy of others. With that said though, why has no one in the pictures got their hands cupped to catch any debris that will fall of the food? Why the fuck is no one just grabbing the food with their bare hands? Drinking in a hot-spring is a nice deal but fuck trusting people to not drop greasy shit in my water while they eat.
