Only good news here. Get the game in more players hands
Funding Friendship ended with Sony, now NetEase is their best friend.
shower scenes for all
They’re getting funded by the same NetEase that funded Bungie out of their Activision deal.
Gimmie robot simulator on PC
Sony probably got tired of bankrolling games with that much ambition and such a small audience. Honestly think going multiplatform is the only hope for them to get an audience whose sales can actually carry the scales of their projects.
I dunno. Why doesn't he just scale back and let the core substance of his game carry it? oh wait...
May the long line of creepy rape scenes continue from David Cage's French mind.
So I guess whatever comes out of "The Dark Sorcerer" tech demo is multiplatform game now.

So I guess now everyone will be able to experience EMOSHUNS.
What button do I push for "Jason" now if it's not the X button?
please do open world again,
daddy want's another Omikron
The X key
Instead they gonna be Epic store exlusive
Uhhhh. Sony used these games to show off the graphical capabilities of their hardware several times now (when you're not doing much game logic, you've got cycles to spare on pretty effects after all) and the games always sold reasonably well. Along with receiving critical acclaim despite being hugely flawed every time. Sony wouldn't cut them loose for no real reason.
David Cage is an ambitious man, but not in a way that would realistically drive budgets to Kojima levels of insanity. Well maybe Beyond due to the voice cast being absurd.
Nice now 5 people who own an Xbox One can play David Cage's hilariously awful games
I just want a buddy cop Connor and Hank spinoff game.
Sony had a 3 game contract with them that started with Heavy Rain. This was always the case, and their games have sold well since, with Detroit being the best-selling so far. Just cause you don't like the games doesn't mean they don't have market value. 🤷
I'm honestly looking forward to Detroit. Haven't got it yet. guess i was too quick on the bandwagon. but Beyond Two Souls wasn't great and HR got memed to death despite being ok.
I guess i actually am rather interested in what they do if they go multiplat.
What are you 12 lol
The big thing Sony got was Quantic's motion capture tech which is an inhouse design and has been heavily used in every First Party Sony title where applicable.
Huh, didn't know Sony got their hands on that too, some of the graphical tech QD put together for motion capture and animation is pretty decent.
yeah but the downside is that it's david cage's games
I wish because then I could enjoy David Cage's shit story telling
I don't know man I was kinda on the same wavelength but Detroit was actually pretty well done all things considered.
I do wonder whether they'll release their previous titles like Detroit, Heavy Rain and Beyond or not tbh.
I'm sure they won't. I can't think of any game funded and published by Sony which eventually came out anywhere but on playstation.
Journey?
Didn't know it's going to be released on PC. (and on epic games store of all places *sigh*)
I don't think it's fair to compare Journey and any of the big exclusives. This game was never intended to be a system seller so making it exclusive for ~5 years is more than enough. Something like "Quantic Dream Complete Collection" for PS5 will be quite a big reason to buy a console for some people.
Detroit really fails on multiple level. Game that try to make obvious deep parallels between android and african-american slavery instantly hit their face on the ground, because while the intention is good
the concept by itself makes no sense as the android are a legitimate different thing from human (compared to african-american), they can represent a legitimate threat to humanity as they simply do not feel pain, have superior strength and last but not all are more durable than human but unfortunately Detroit conveniently ignore that. Of course, there is always the on-going plothole of "Why would you
give emotion and pain to a robot who you want to use only for chores?", because nobody is going to legitimately do that in real life. The consequence are obvious.
