This is nothing new. You really wanna make your head spin, go look up the true crime community on tumblr.
The notion that was handsome and charismatic and very intelligent is a bit...hyperbolized. The documentary has a girl that went to school with him, along with girls he's dated and people close to him. The guy was weird, something wasn't all there with him. He also had anger issues, wasn't very smart (given he fucked up his LSATS really bad), and was always awkward talking to women. He tried his best to put on a front, and when attention was on him, he worked it excellently, but other than that he was a fucking creep.
How are they turning this into a social injustice piece? Like certai types of women have been attracted to serial killers since forever, outwardly so as well.
It probably seems like it’s a majority of women now because those people can be vocal through social media.
It has nothing to do with Ted Bundy being a white man.
What the hell is Thirsting supposed to mean? Am I getting old
In this context it just means to lust over, generally
Pretty sure this is just a big PR thing, trying to draw attention to Netflix's new series
There's really nothing else to take from this
they want the dick
If you don't want people attracted to him, it'd probably be a good idea to not hire Zac Efron to play him and then frame his as cool and charming.
just like when a couple people did Bird Box videos and Netflix immediately came out and said "PLEASE don't DO THE BIRD BOX CHALLENGE ;)"
Whom amongst us does not have a problematic fave?
jeffrey dahmer was hotter
Also so saw a bunch of posts going around saying that Netflix was warning people not to watch the docu series alone.
If that series gets to you to the point where you can't watch it alone then literally every single scary movie or true crime documentary would also get to you because as fucked up at Bundy was, that story was not spookier than any other piece of media on a similar topic. It was just a ploy to get people going, "oh wow now I gotta see this."
As someone meme'd: Netflix, I'm binging a serial killer docu series BECAUSE I'm alone, thank you very much.
Bundy wasn't even the worst, anyway. He was horrific but Gacy continues to churn my stomach.
i mean
if you really want people not to fancy the serial killer in your movie
why pick zac efron to play him?
The netflix film is a documentary mini series.
Get mad at Hollywood, not Netflix.
Similar thing happened with Charles Manson. He was skilled at finding vulnerable people and getting them into situations where they could easily be manipulated but he wasn't the charismatic
natural-born leader gone terribly wrong that a lot of people have come to think of him as.
I'd love to have my 12-year-old pussy mutilated by a hot psycho boy with some unspecified sharp object.
*a lot of heart-eye emojis here*
Bundy is bottom tier. I call John Wayne Gacey my Daddy.
I thought it was Netflix's idea to release the documentary while the trailers for the movie comes out.
Bundy at least made the murdering part quick (besides when he went ape shit with the log) since he just wanted the body. There's a lot sicker fucks out there (Toolbox Killers, Robert Berdella, Gacy, Andrei Chikatilo, Randy Kraft, etc) but Bundy is mostly famous for the media fiasco around his trial and that he was incredibly prolific.
Gacy churns my stomach because he was a known threat to the police for such a long fucking time, and had even done time before. He would keep his victims alive for a solid day or so, raping and drugging them several times over before garotting them.
Documentary was boring, honestly.
As soon as it mentioned Charles Manson in the intro, I just googled him instead of watching the show.
Netflix: "Sexy Bundy Trailer"
People: "Hey, that's pretty sexy."
Netflix: "Hey, could you not?"

I really don't get it. I think It's weird anyway when people romanticise serial killers, but this guy doesn't even have that ~Charismatic dangerous bad boy type~ thing going on.
From the documentaries I've watched, he looked like a fucking dork with a big dumb unibrow, acted like a total egotistical creep all the time, was inept in his schooling, and he's only charismatic and affable in the same way lame boring politicians are.
And that's before you consider the fact he raped and murdered women.
Isn't his charm the reason why he's such a fascinating person. It really changed the way we think about serial killers and mental health
So did you not watch it, or was it boring?
netflix didnt have anything to do with the making of that one, they're referring to a docuseries which uses only real footage of Bundy
It was so boring I wikipedia'd other serial killers while it played in the background.
