• Games you played for 24 hours and more: "gameplay, let me eat, please!"

When I was 15, I've played a day without breaks for sleep or having meal. That was an items search game with very interesting plot, so I wanted to know the ending. Now I controle my playing time. I use alarm clock to reming myself about eating/having rest for eyes. And that really helps. Do you have a habbit to play without breaks? Which games are the stickiest?
I've never played a game for a whole day straight and can't imagine doing so, jesus christ I did do WoW raids for like 6 hours at a time though but those were exhausting
When i was younger i could be up over 24 hours and play but only did it at lans. but then i never really did it straight, i had brakes and ate food still. and never the same game all the way through. closest have to have been a game of civ 5 with friends at a lan that lasted like 12 hours.
Never 24 but I've done many ~12 hours with breaks back when I was young and gave no fucks about my education and I don't regret it, Day of Defeat and Wolfenstein are fucking awesome, man
I played Spyro 2 for about twelve hours when I got it for christmas as a kid. otherwise my longest session was getting the marathon achievement for Garry's mod while going to a cinema server. Even then I was passed out drunk for the majority of the time
I still sometimes play games for like 12 hours straight, never done much more. These last few days I played Dark Souls 1 and 2 over 12 hours a day in a row. Dark Souls's just too goddamn addictive. It saved me from game fatigue.
I've played a single game for 12-14 hours (Terraria is the example that immediately comes to mind) but even then I still took breaks, and fairly frequently at that. I couldn't imagine playing such a ridiculously long time while completely neglecting basic needs.
Never managed to hit 24 hours (god damn) in a row, but I've played a lot of games for a good 12 hours in one sitting. Minecraft was the first (who knew it could be so fun with friends), followed by WoW, Stellaris, and even Planetside 2 once.
Not a straight 24 hours but my longest gaming session was in Lost Planet 2 which was around 12+ hours in a single weekend. Started the day solo, then co-op'd with friends, then co-op'd with randoms. Second longest might be GTA SA on the PS2 during its release month, actually manage to clock in 8-10 hours regularly until I 100%'d the game back then. Can't really manage more than 2-4 hours sometimes nowadays though. 25 years old now and been light on gaming sessions for the past 7 years now thanks to work and stuff.
Beat Resident Evil 4 in one sitting when it first came out. Other than that probably longest I've gone for is like 16 hours straight on Runescape as a kid.
Transport Tycoon, a very long time ago Minecraft, also long ago Most recently Factorio, a few years ago All super addictive games that made me completely lose track of time and almost made me fail to eat and drink. Not sure it can happen again at this age though.
I didn't go non stop but back when Nier Automata came out I spent literally every second of spare time I had playing it because I had to see where the story was going and it was so worth it.
Well, not 24 hours but I used to play a lot of story-heavy games non stop if I liked the story. Bioshock Infinite, Telltale's first TWD, Red Dead Redemption. Most recently games that "entrapped" me were Red Dead 2, Marvel's Spiderman, Nier Automata.
I played Deadrising 1 for 14 hours straight to get the 7-day survivor achievement. I nearly went insane.
24 hours is unrealistic, but when Skyrim first came out I woke up, played Skyrim the entire day, and then went to bed. So safe to say that was more than 12 hours.
The last game I marathoned was Rimworld. I ain't playin' a game for 24-fuckin'-hours, though.
The first time I played Alien Isolation I finished the game in a single sitting, it came pretty close to 24 hours. It does funny things to you, all I could hear when I was sitting was the motion detector noise
I once played I think Civilization 5 for around 30 hours in one go. By the time I stopped I had a horrible headache, my vision was fucky, I was nauseous and incredibly irritable. By the time I finally slept I think I lost an entire day almost.
I tried to do the entire Halo series in one sitting with a few friends once, in cronological order. I think we were delirious on exhaustion, pizza and redbull by midway through 2. I vividly recall those bits where the Flood starts talking in your head during 3 and screaming "HELP IT'S THE FOV MONSTER". ODST felt like a fever dream.
Elder Scrolls games are basically guaranteed to eat a few hours a day when I get them. Only other game I've really forced myself to sit through was the time I tried beating Street Fighter 1 in a single session. It was only like 2 hours but holy fuck it felt like an eternity
Shit I remember that achievement. I still don't know it was worth it. Probably not because I don't even play Xbox anymore.
I've been up gaming for over 24 hours but never one game continuously. In recent memory i played Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for some 14 hours straight on launch day.
Runescape was my life for 2 years. Also, Yu-gi-oh: Duelists of the rosrs.
Longest without any breaks at all is probably 6 hours playing World of Tanks, which compared to some of the games on this list makes me feel pretty bad . I would just grind that game hardcore when it first came out and after every match I'd say "maybe I should get something to eat" and never did. Longest with short breaks for bathroom and drinks would be World of Warcraft when Cataclysm launched and I played for 12 hours straight trying to hit 85 before anyone else in my guild and I will absolutely never do that again. I felt like total dogshit when I finally went to sleep and probably slept for 12 or 14 hours.
I recall one time starting a Civ 5 game with a friend around 9 am and finishing at 5 am. Beyond that I've probably played longer stretches when I was younger but I don't remember much
Tf2 was that game for me for ahwile. Like I'd be hungry but I wanted to finish the round and by the time I remembered I was hungry I was already in another game and wanted to finish that one and wouldn't actually eat until an hour or two later.
Longest session I can recall I had was 12 hours finishing up the final chapters of Persona 5. Usually played the game in 5-8 hour chunks tho, so there's that too.
When I was younger i'd play the shit out of the original battlefront game
I remember playing Dead Space 3 with my friends for about 14 hours straight when it was on Humble Bundle. We beat the game at like 5am and playing through the desynchronized part where one player is having illusions with the nutcracker dolls after going for that long is one of the most wild experience I've had in a video game.
I've done CSGO or Minecraft sessions with friends that went all day into the night (something like 16-17 hours) but at the ripe old age of 22 all nighters are a lot harder than they used to be Oh and I played FO4 for like 3 days straight, but I still slept and ate food at regular intervals.
