So this is what they meant by “We’re gonna start shipping single player games again” isn’t it?
Mobile port? Vr? I can't really judge the game as I have really no interest in card games, but there doesn't really seem to be anything they're changing to fix the main problems with the game, just gimmicks and a port to another platform. The only thing that sounds remotely interesting is the campaign.
Free 2 play only way to save this disaster even then there is no guarantee of success
I almost feel like they're just hoping that they can make the game work on the mobile market where abhorrent business models are so commonplace and whales are so abundant that they could get away with it.
They were going to shove even more microtransactions into this dumster fire? Why am I not shocked. And a fucking VR mode? That was literally a joke people were making long before release, because it seemed so hilariously improbable. I doubt any of this is happening anytime soon, though. The only way they'll be able to save the game is by going F2P, so they're undoubtedly focusing all their efforts on that right now.
Imagine actually playing Artifact in VR lmfao
I gotta say, the failure of Artifact to attract a playerbase so far, and the Epic Store kind of makes me feel good for Valve not having the greatest time of their lives. I know it's childish, but I can't help it
He's already dead.
imagine playing artifact
I think that card/board games to fit VR more than FPS games do. Considering you're stationary then.
As much as I want to shit on current Valve and indulge in pure childish schadenfreude VR for a virtual card game is pretty much perfect, and really really cool.
Tetris Effect works as a "Game with VR support" because it has great immersive effects. VR games work because they are designed around VR. VR for Artifact would only get the quality sticker from me if they REALLY made it immersive with things happening all around you. Even above you. If it's just a "You can look around the table" implementation then that's close to nothing.
aka they spent too much time on this and don't want it to die off just yet, as they try to grasp at whatever they can get some of the userbase back.
