• A question of BP Wipes

Hey Rust Community, I have been playing Rust since late 2015 and since the new BP system came into play there has been a lot of back and forth about BP wipes on official servers, something I feel the devs really should answer more about. From what I've noticed there are BP wipes every 2 months, every other map wipe but the devs have not detailed this anywhere I can find. I really would like to know if this is the case so we can all work out when official BP wipes are making it easier for the community to determine whether or not they have to grind it out for a new bp wipe. So, Helk, Does Rust have BP wipes every other month? If so, When is the next one?
It has nearly been or has been a year since the last official bp wipe
Server owners are the ones that BP wipe every 2 months or sooner. As Sosig.exe said, I'm also pretty sure it's been almost a year for an official BP wipe. (Some modded servers have been keeping the BP's untouched) Why are BP wipes every other month? Because players start feeling bored and there's nothing to work for. 1000 scrap in a raid? Cool but we already got everything and a crap load of components. Add it to the stash. All in all, ask the server owner for BP wipes, because FP's are inconsistent and can't really be "scheduled", I think. Though I would also like some way of knowing, peace of mind I guess.
My current theory is they are currently in the middle of testing a "no bp wipes" rust. We have all heard that Facepunch is working towards a completely wipeless rust, and I think not wiping bp's is a step in that direction. As mentioned by Sosig.exe, it has been almost a year since the last BP wipe and I have to say, I really like it. The combination of Workbenches and Components to craft gear still require progression through each wipe even if you have the BP's. As far as scrap goes, you still need scrap to get to the tier 3 workbench, you can use it for needed components (gears, springs, etc.) and you can use it at Bandit Camp or Outpost to buy LRs, L96s, M92s, Jackhammers, etc. Overall, the last few wipes have been really fun and I personally really like it that they aren't wiping BP's. For those of us who have full time jobs and lives outside of rust, we do not want to have our BP progress wiped every 3, 6, or even 12 months. I think it is fun grinding for BP's and unlocking new gear when you first start playing the game but I don't want to grind for all those BP's again now that I have them. I think this is a step in the right direction and hope Facepunch continues with no BP wipes. Maybe even slowly adding in new weapons or gear that those with all the bp's can research, come to think of it, this is already happening with the addition of electricity.
