I've been very close to a family where a husband, farther and grand-father (same person) has a terminal brain tumour, about 6 months, a year and a half best. Honestly it's been so shit. You don't realise it when it's something you've not really been through, it's not a sit-comm, it's real life - and death. I mean my grand dad died of cancer, though dementia would have took him otherwise - so in a way the cancer killing him was a blessing in a way. So I didn't quite get it then, but honestly cancer is unmerciful. Cure or otherwise, any advancement is great.
