My seventh grade biology teacher skipped the evolution chapter because she thought it was sinful.

My A-Level Biology teacher had many flaws, but when asked about whether he'd be teaching evolution, he determinedly said he would. Someone raised the point that evolution is only a theory, to which he responded "Yeah, and technically so is gravity".
He should have taken the time to explain what "theory" means in a scientific context and how it differs from the common usage of the word.
I like how these parents have so little faith in the intelligence of God that he wasn't capable of developing creatures that could adapt to a changing universe.

I have read some Christian literature that points out that not believing evolution exists is akin to believing God is not infinite or is restrained, because no where in the Bible does it say "God created everything and then was absolutely done". A better belief would be that God is constantly creating, through evolution.

My high school Biology teacher was a pretty devout Christian and she said that religion answers "Why?" questions while Science answers "How?" questions. She then proceeded to basically tell the one student who brought up Christianity to stop being stupid.
Having gone to a Catholic private school in Australia, they were excellent in teaching us about Darwin's theory of evolution. Weird to see the comparison between other places/schools
There was a kid in my class in elementary school and upper elementary school who pretty much failed all biology-classes because he just wrote "WE DIDN'T EVOLVE FROM MONKIES" on every test and paper we did about evolution. Then he said really smart stuff like "BEAR DOESN'T TURN INTO A FISH IF YOU THROW IT INTO A LAKE! EVOLUTION DOESN'T WORK!"
Like goddamn. It was the 90s but he was still considered a dumbass by everyone, it seems that there were more of them and they now have kids.
