Powell also complained that the net neutrality debate has "swirled endlessly without a stable conclusion" over the past 15 years and "is caught in an infinite loop." "Net neutrality rules have moved into the courts now four different times, each taking years of exhausting and expensive litigation to complete," Powell said. Well this "debate" can end pretty quickly but the ISPs and the law firms that represent them would a hell of a lot less money.
So much for the argument that ISPs wouldn't do stuff like this with Net Neutrality repealed.
Lets see the iNvIsIbLe hAnD of the fReE mArKeT self regulate this one.
and just what dogshit public benefit, pray tell, will manifest from a blatantly anti-consumer attempt at lobbying?
The government will pay expensive contracts out hand over fist so that 911 calls and communications that are vital for medical treatment, emergencies, etc, aren't throttled to oblivion. By benefits they actually mean hostages. They're taking things hostage and selling them back to us.
A little too late for this, thankfully. It ain't passing now that the Dems control the House.
how about this; sure, you can have paid prioritization, but you must use money earned in this way to invest in your infrastructure for all users and networks you provide for and to.
Telecom companies were already given money to invest in their infrastructure and just sat on the money instead.
You have non compete clauses with each other so you can have a monopoly on your areas You got over a hundred billion dollars in tax breaks to invest and upgrade/maintain your infrastructure, of which you didn't do. At all. You underperform and over charge You created a system where one of the LARGEST and richest corporations in the fucking world couldn't even get their food in the door when they tried to create an ISP You demanded money from internet businesses because traffic uses them a lot, and got it You put pointless data caps on everyone to squeeze out more money from people, even though "Only 1-2% of people ever hit their cap" You have your way more than any other fucking industry, and still you want MORE Go fucking fuck yourselves
How about these cocksuckers actually replace their slow ass overpriced copper lines with fiber instead of lining pockets of shills and CEOs?
oh I know trust me
So you actually trust ISPs to become better after they publicly announce a new plan on how they intend to continue fleecing people. That's cute. You're adorable.
Uhhhh.... Or how about we have a fair unfiltered non-shaped internet infrastructure and plan, have a really high customer satisfaction rating, create competition for other ISPs in your area and force them to buckle up.
God I hope you're right.
