Attention Susan Collins, please explain Kavanaugh's vote/dissent and how it totally still means he won't trample on women's rights, since that was your whole reason for voting for him.
Only Justice Kavanaugh published a dissent, taking a middle position
that acknowledged the key precedent and said he would have preferred
more information on the precise effect of the law.
Oh I don't know what could the effect of making it so one doctor at one clinic for the whole state of Louisiana do?
Only Justice Kavanaugh published a dissent, taking a middle position that acknowledged the key precedent and said he would have preferred more information on the precise effect of the law.
Then why the fuck would you vote in favor of a law you knew little about dickhead?
Sen. Collins Received Numerous Out-of-State Donations Following Her Pivotal Kavanaugh Vote: Report
Records show that Maine Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins had the best
fundraising quarter of her career after she delivered a pivotal vote
that helped seat Brett Kavanaugh on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Federal Election Commission records show that of the nearly $900,000
Collins received from individual donors who contributed more than $200
to her campaign, just $19,000 came from individuals with Maine
addresses.
Good. This concern trolling nonsense needs to end.
"lol can't hear you got cash fygm"
His dissent was that the allegedly effected doctors who are bringing the case didn't even try to get admitting privileges, so this lawsuit is taking a huge shortcut on it's way to the Supreme Court. One of the major factors in a case is "want of injury," so if there hasn't even been an injury and it's not clear there would be an injury, then accordingly there shouldn't be a case.

tldr, kavanaugh is confirming he's an antiabortionist right wing puppet, and only having 5 justices is not enough, they need more perfect inflexible conservative ideologues on the court.
Not necessarily. SCOTUS doesn't go out of its way to hear the same case twice like this, there had to be something critically different to warrant a hearing.
ya his name is drunkey mc Kavanaugh, they don't have to have anything but 4 justices agree to hear the case.
5, actually. They need a majority that want to hear the case. And SCOTUS has hundreds of cases brought to them, so they don't normally waste time picking things they've already covered because there's enough work to be had.
Only need 4 to hear a case
Huh, NPR was pretty wrong on that then 3 weeks ago
its 4 to take a case, obviously 5 to rule on it.
Additionally, SCOTUS has historically only revisited cases if they feel they've done undue harm and wish to reverse their decision or wish to create a clarification.
Doing either in this case presented would create the fabled 'irregularities' that Roberts hates. We're on death's door for Roe v Wade.
Words cannot describe the rage I feel toward Susan Collins right now. She knew this would happen, and she voted to confirm Kavanaugh anyway because she's banking on a position in the next administration. Luckily we avoided disaster for the moment. Best way to repay her is to either impeach Trump or vote him out in 2020.
