Broken Audio And Melee Combat - What Even Is This Game Now?

Why is this game more broken now than it was years ago. This supposedly early access game that's now 1.0/full release. To confirm, yes I am on community servers since the official servers are even worse for rubber banding.
Players running up to you in silence with no footsteps. An examples being today, I happened to be standing and a guy was running at me with a spear, zero sound of him approaching, nothing, that is until he was about to attack me. Years ago you heard players every time if they got anywhere near you, every damn time - unless they were crouched of course, and if you listened properly then no one could sneak up on you. Actually, I bet people complained about not being able to sneak up on players while running.
Melee combat...where to start. Getting hit from over 10 feet away by players, rubber banding, players looking the total other direction while still landing hits, being hit before the player even starts their animation, checking the combat log to see that one of the attacks done zero damage instead showing that the projectile was invalid.
Does anyone else have these problems? Or are people just so jaded by gaming these days that this crap is just looked over.
Are the Rust dev team simply incapable of solving these problems? Basic issues for an online game never mind a fully released game. Audio and melee combat in this game was amazing, now it's a bad joke. But wait, lets add helicopters and other crap to the game.
Early access game is still early access. Greedy devs just wanting money and not caring about the game - shouldn't be surprised really, the gaming industry is one of the most anti-consumer industry out there and in dire need of a crash.
This forum has nothing to do with Rust. Nobody in here plays it. Go to the actual Rust forums.
Thanks for the info, searching Rust Forums via google gives this forum as the first result. I'll not bother looking further since it'll be a waste of time anyway.
Help
The above is a link to the section of the forum dedicated to help with Rust. The present section, Developers, has nothing to do with Rust. This forum as a whole has been around a long time, well before Rust was a thing.
