at least this isn't one of those challenges where people do something that is obviously going to hurt them. It's mostly an accident from poor planning.

Loyola University Medical Center spokesperson Chris Vicik said it isn't just the people who throw water who are getting hurt. Some of those who suffered from burn injuries were just watching the stunt

I've been burnt by my shower suddenly switching to boiling hot water and that shit was not pleasant.
These so-called "challenges" are becoming more and more stupid. Anything for views, which is pretty sad.

fortunately modern burns specialists are very good, but it's just about preventing infection which is most difficult.
I turned the water tap all the way to hot once as a young dumb kid in the bathtub and that was enough alone on my hand. Didn't make that choice again.
