Turning Point UK launch doesn't go exactly to plan

To say that the launch of Britain's newest right-wing student organisation suffered a few snags is a bit like reporting that Brexit negotiations have not all been plain sailing.
Turning Point UK (TPUK) is an offshoot of Turning Point USA, a controversial and staunchly pro-Trump presence on American campuses.
The group announced its arrival last week, proclaiming itself a cheerleader for capitalism, free speech and limited government. It was enthusiastically received by leading Brexiteers including Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg and former UKIP leader Nigel Farage.
But Twitter was not entirely welcoming, and TPUK almost immediately found itself hit by a tsunami of online mockery. Dozens of parody accounts quickly appeared.

Many of the parody accounts are visually almost indistinguishable from actual TPUK accounts. To add to the confusion, both the parody and genuine accounts furiously denounced each other on Twitter. In Cambridge, each accused the other of being socialist saboteurs who should be removed from the platform. Victory was eventually claimed by the genuine account when the parody one was handed a Twitter ban.

I hope UK political financing laws are tough enough to stop this right wing propaganda machine.
We're far better than the US on this, but I don't know.
This is what people should do to fight back against these people. The alt-right have been using meme humor to reach out to young people for a while now and the left never really seemed to get that and kept falling for their stuff all the time, turning around and doing the same kinda thing against them actually works.

George Farmer is a former Tory party donor and son of Lord Farmer, a multi-millionaire and former Conservative Party treasurer. The foundation of TPUK was announced with an event at the Royal Automobile Club, hosted by another multi-millionaire, John Mappin.
A right-wing advocacy group being funded by multi-millionire conservatives? say it isn't so! what a shock!
BUT what I really wanted to draw attention to is this:
Farmer is engaged to Candace Owens, the US organisation's communications director, who has been heavily involved - not always happily - with Kanye West's unusual interactions with the president.
Huh, that name sounds familiar ...

Someone I follow on Twitter talked about a fandom he knows always gets alt-right people trying to squirm in and every time it happens the fandom replies with daring them to pictures of their dicks. It doesn't matter what they say, every attempt is met with "I bet you won't post your dick though" and they either do it and get humiliated, or get frustrated and leave
alt-right are good examples of dishing but never able to take it.
These guys have a chapter on my school campus and they got into some controversy last year because their group chat got leaked out.

The funny thing is, since Turning Point is an astroturf organization, the robot is technically the "real" one, all the parodies are a genuine grassroots response giving those twats what they deserve.
I actually know the guy in the middle. His name is Tom Harwood and he's a twat.
Oh and if anyone is curious, there's two subreddits dedicated to this, toilet paper USA and toilet paper UK.
The actual real Turning Point UK isn't even involved with this shit.
