• Downloading server's content

Hello!, I've noticed a really smart skid ran imagine_exploit and managed to start downloading the server's content (File by File). Is there a way to block this kind of action?, I was told it's unblockable and I came to ask the community incase any of you know anything to block these kinds of actions. Thanks. (Not quite of a problem, but I really expected to see a ton of Asap copies because of this)
Then you have a backdoor on a server. You need to search for an addon who has backdoor on it
I searched for a backdoor on the server but couldn't find any anywhere (Searched multiple times and used multiple tools, every exploit that has been used on my server couldn't find any backdoors either), and the one who did so on my server said he could do it on any server (He's a well respected Anti-Cheat developer). He claims as they aren't fixable in lua, so I really doubt it's a backdoor.
Serverside is fully protected as I know. Only let say "lua viruses/backdoors" can give access to serverside files. Shared are not included
But they can get the files clientside as well, not serverside files, I'm wondering if there's a way to block players from overall downloading files like those. Sorry I have not explained it quite well, as I'm still quite new to this.
Ah, you said "server's content (File by File)" and I thought about serverside files. Then basically nohow. Because they're actually stored in binary in download/ folder
I see, I talked with some other people as well. Thanks for explaining, kind of a bummer there isn't a way to block these, but at least they wouldn't be getting serverside code. Thanks alot!
The reason why Lua is even not in LuaC (Compiled) format is the GMod's anti-paranoid concept. All addons are .lua files to make you sure that they doesn't have a exploit or a backdoor.
