Just imagine...
Hanging out, by the shore, when you see something in the distance.... Little black dots. You can't figure it out at first, until you see the water parting. Rafts of ice coming at you at incredible speeds, the black dots - noses of impending doom. Tens of polar bears riding their way to pillage your village, challenging the image of your privilege. One holds a banner, proudly, between his teeth. The leader, standing on two legs, letting out an amazing roar, rallying his fellow bears.

This fucker came to my mind, almmost instantly.
The age of men has ended.
The age of Bear has begun.
I'm glad Russia don't want to kill the bears unless absolutely forced with no choice, its not the animals fault and it's just all round tragic this is happening for everyone involved. I'm hoping they can find a solution soon that doesn't result in the bears dying.
They're sedating and relocating them.
Relocating polar bears to Antarctica would probably be a terrible plan, because they'd destroy the penguin populations. No bears are native to Antarctica so you'd be introducing a very large hungry invasive predator species.
They're moving south into inhabited areas because the melting Arctic ice is ruining their ability to hunt and forage, and climate change is screwing with migrations and food webs.. They're at risk of extinction unless they can find good food sources further south.
there is not nearly enough life to sustain the megafauna like a polar bear in the antarctic, the penguins are as fragile as they are.
